This full length -piece guide rod replaces the stock guide rod providing full support of the recoil spring. This allows for even compression of the spring coils as the slide moves to the rear, making the absorption of energy more uniform. Centering the thrust of recoil in this way makes slide cycling consistent and helps with feeding and extraction.
