Excellent optics, this is ...

Excellent optics, this is the second Mk-4 I have purchased and I purchased this model several months ago and am writing a review after some use of the scope. The scope is exceptionally clear and does not lose definition across the power band, the side parallax adjustment is very easy to use. The 25 power zoom really lets you see your target up close, and in most instances I do not need a spotting scope with this scope as the magnification is enough to see .30 caliber holes out to 300 yards, and further if there is a contrasting surface behind your target. There is some loss of edge definition and distortion at both its minimum and maximum setting but does not detract in any way from the ability to use it- just a personal observation. The 50mm objective gathers plenty of light and the 30mm tube transmits it clearly. The eye relief is appropriate for most rifles this will be installed on, even when completely zoomed in- a very heavy recoiling rifle you may want a bit more.The TMR reticle is easy to use after learning its scale. With the TMR I am able to zero my .308 rifle at 100 yards and use the mill marks to holdover out to 300 yards with no adjustment. I have not tried any further as my local range does not extend beyond 300 yards- and beyond that you would probably want to adjust the reticle instead of a hold over using the mil marks. But it can be done if you chose to, just make sure you confirm that your rifle agrees with the reticle substensions in the manual. The only confusing thing is that the TMR reticle is gradated in METERS so make sure that is what you are ranging and compensating for.I use this scope on a .308 F-Class rifle out to 1,000 yards. As such it needs to be very repeatable for range changes and small adjustment, and this scope is. I can easily run it up 40+ MOA to its 1,000 yard zero and back to my 100 yard zero setting without any loss of zero. The scope is mounted on a 20 MOA base which I would recommend even with the int
