This rail fit my Colt ...

This rail fit my Colt Match Target HBAR great. As others have pointed out the washers are barely bigger than the holes in the hand guards. They will work out just fine, you just want to make sure they are lined up good before cranking them down. Worst case scenario washers are cheap at the hardware store. This is a high quality aluminum rail. I'll be buying a couple more. Bottom Line: Get One! or two!

I purchased this aluminum ...

I purchased this aluminum rail to mount on Olympic carbine handguards...the studs on the rail did not match up with the holes in the handguard....so I didn't use it...I gave it 5 stars because the quality is great for a 10 dollar item, if you can figure out which handguards it fits, I'll probably modify it to work on something.....as a side note I also purchased the ProMag polymer rail for carbine handguards, it fit the Olympic handguards perfect and is very ridgid with a vertical grip attached.

I bought both this and ...

I bought both this and the plastic ProMag rail. I will be sending the plastic rail back. The ProMag plastic vertical grip moves with ease on the aluminum rail and did NOT move freely on the plastic rail. The aluminum ProMag rail fit my Colt Sporter HBAR with no problem. You won't have to remove the heat shield if you place it towards the front of the forend. I placed the rail towards the back because I have a Harris Bipod mounted up front. To place this rail towards the back, you will have to remove your heat shield and then replace the heat shield after installation of the rail. The only complaint I have is that the washers should be a little bigger, they are slightly larger than the holes in my stock forend. Nothing a run to your local hardware store can't fix. I will be using some loctite on the screws as well. Overall, GREAT rail. I am also impressed with the 159054 ProMag Vertical Forend Broomhandle Grip AR-15 Fits Picatinny or Weaver-Style Rail Polymer Black.

Very happy. Bought this and a polymer of the same brand. For some reason the polymer rail needed modification, but this one dropped right in. A well made aluminum rail for $4 more than the polymer version!

Did not fit my standard ...

Did not fit my standard Carbine hand guards. This rails was also out of spec, from both posted specs on Picatinny rail specs, and would not allow for mounting of a Tango Down fore grip. The 3 mounting screws did not match up with any of the vent holes in my standard Bushmaster Carbine hand guards.
