Product Information

The Maxpedition Short AR-15/1M-16 Pouch is the result of a collaborative effort with Extreme Gear Labs and was designed with speed of access in mind. With no lid, more direct action is provided for retrieving stowed magazines during tactical or speed reloads. The magazine simply sits upside down with the bottom exposed. Lateral shock cord retention ensures your magazines will not be displaced while moving (shock cord is field-replaceable). Capacity is one standard 20 or 30 round MIL-SPEC magazine or Magpul PMAG. Attaches to MOLLE compatible field gear using two TacTie attachment straps.

  • Teflon™ fabric protector for grime resistance and easy maintenance
  • Uses UTX-Duraflex hardware
  • Triple polyurethane coated for water resistance
  • High tensile strength nylon webbing
  • High tensile strength composite nylon thread (stronger than ordinary industry standard nylon thread)
  • Internal seams taped and finished
  • Paracord zipper pulls
  • Stress points double stitched, Bartacked or "Box-and-X" stitched for added strength
