This is a great bag, I ...

This is a great bag, I haul it around with me every day. Most of the time it ends up carried around like a briefcase so I wish there was a way to stow the shoulder strap. The carry pocket is big enough for me to put my 1911 in it. Getting the Velcro in holster is a must, having a gun flopping around in there is annoying. The padding at the hip for when I do use the shoulder strap is plenty enough to mask the hard hits of a firearm in the pocket.I really only have 2 small flaws with the bag, first there's so many pockets that I lose stuff every once and a while, the pockets that are dedicated to a given item aren't a problem though. Second, the main big pocket for some strange reason doesn't have a drainage grommet in it, in the event that you get some kind of liquid in there.

I mainly use this for day hiking. Very Good Quality; my Walther P99 (full size 4" barrel) fits well in the carry pocket. I highly recommend buying the holster insert if you plan to carry. The main compartment is nice and roomy; I can fit my Cannon 50D SLR camera with lens attached with some extra padding in the bottom and sides to protect it. I do wish there was a drainage grommet in the bottom water bottle compartment.
