Great sling. Adjust ...

Great sling. Adjust easily in a few moments, material looks and smells like leather without all the downsides. It has heavy duty hardware that looks like it will stand up to punishment. Doesn't come with instructions, but that's what internet videos are for. I have it installed on a DPMS LR-308, looks and operates great!

Already own two and I'm ...

Already own two and I'm getting a third. Best sling on the market for bolt action or M1 style rifles. Only drawback, many 1 1/4 QD swivels aren't wide enough for this sling. Uncle Mike's 1402-3 Super Swivels work well for me. I have to recommend this as one of the must have items on any field rifle.

Just got my Turner NM ...

Just got my Turner NM Biothane sling, put it on my rifle, easy install, very grippy and durable material! No stretch, and no slip when wet, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quality NM sling!

This is an outstanding ...

This is an outstanding product and well worth the price. I have a Springfield M1A with black sythetic stock and Harris bi-pod. I wanted a sling that was appropriate to the rifle, black, heavy duty with subdued fittings. But, I did not necessarily want to go with a ballistic nylon tactical sling. This Turner model fit the bill perfectly. The material is tough with no stretch. The fittings are parkerized and the rivets are super heavy duty. The Turner folks should, however, include some installation instructions and perhaps a bit of user tips.

It's great sling,t he ...

It's great sling,t he keepers are tight and stay where you put them. The hooks are great to I had another 1907 and the hooks on it would cut you these hooks are perfect they hook real tight but do not snag stuff. The best thing is the Biothane takes a slight set like leather but its far more tactile so its not trying to slip of your shoulder. It's a great sling and well worth the price.

Instructions detailing ...

Instructions detailing various lacing configurations (standard, no pulse, etc.) would help novices set up their slings. Offering options for personalizing the sling, or instructions to do so (i.e. a black sharpie and a stencil works best).

Turner Saddlery makes the ...

Turner Saddlery makes the best slings PERIOD. This was purchased for my Hog gun, a 20" barreled 358 Winchester. It is a perfect match for the black synthetic stock and matte bluing. I use Turner slings on my Garands and AR-15 HBAR for target shooting. So a black Turner sling that would withstand adverse conditions was a no brainer.

Good product. Leather ...

Good product. Leather feels broken in right out of the box. I did, however, have to go the the internet to get instructions on how to properly install the sling.

I own two Turner biothane ...

I own two Turner biothane M-1907 style slings. These are high quality products and have some advantages over similar leather slings. But there are no free lunches. For 1907 style slings the key component is often the keepers. The quality of the keepers can greatly affect the effectiveness of a sling. The keepers for these slings are of very high quality. They are tight, thick and they don't stretch. The sling material is very stable. There is no detectable stretching, weather doesn't affect performance and I haven't seen much overall degradation. The biothane surfaces are less slippery then leather. This means the once in position, the sling isn't going to loosen as readily as a leather sling. The downside to the greater stickiness is that it takes longer time to get in out of the sling. In some situations its not an issue, but it could be an issue for those that compete in events that have a limited amount of prep time like service rifle competitions. The stickiness is a big plus for those that use a no-pulse configuration. Since no-pulse configurations can be slung up while not attached to the rifle, prep time isnt really an issue. It's nice that these slings come in different colors and they have more sets of holes then MIL-SPEC slings. This provides a greater range of adjustment. The hooks are high quality. Another nice touch is the rivets that attach the hooks are flattened which make it easier to pass the hooks through tight sling loops. I do think very highly of these slings, but I do also rely on leather slings for certain situations.
