Good stuff

Tried this ammo out on a whim this year as it was available and priced reasonably. Shot well at the range with the usual 1 m.o.a. from the trusty CZ550. Opening day of the 2012 Texas deer season found me getting the drop on an 8-point, 170-pound buck about an hour into the season opening morning (Nov. 3, 2012). Well, to make a long story short, fired a shot at the slightly quartering, and aformentioned buck at about 75 yards. He crumpled instantly like a rag doll tossed on the floor. Well, can't complain with the stuff in the its intended used as hunting ammo. Good stuff. I recommend this ammo.

Tested two boxes in an ...

Tested two boxes in an open field. At 100 yards with winds SS SE at 5-7 mph there where 0" groupings. One hole in target for six rounds!!!! This ammo is amazing for my '96 Swede. At 200 yards winds at 6 mph NNE groupings were at one third of an inch each for six consecutive rounds. At 350 yards winds 4 mph NNE six rounds at one to one and an third of an inch groupings within the kill zone!!! I wouldnt hesitate to use out to 400 yards.

Loads out of a new E.R. ...

Loads out of a new E.R. Shaw barrel printed at approximately 1" groupings off of sandbags at 100 yards. Since this was a new home built gun, the performance was fine. I suspect the velocities varied a bit, but since the chronograph wasn't working, I'm only guessing. This was the best factory ammo I tried so far in this gun.

Tested a box in my CZ 550 ...

Tested a box in my CZ 550 American because the Core-Lokt bullet has always been a proven performer for me. The ammunition performed perfectly fine as expected, I wouldn't hesitate to use it on big game out to perhaps 200 yards.
