I have fired a few hundred rounds threw my Marlin 60 and have not had 1 misfire, and only had a few empty shells get caught on ejection. Other than that this is some superb ammo. After I sighted in my scope with this ammo I was shooting 1/3 inch groups at 25 yard.When you go squirrel hunting make sure you hit them in the head if you want to eat any of the meat because if you hit them in the body it blows them up. I have shot 10 squirrel with it and not 1 knew what hit them they were all 1 shot kills. A+A+A+/ The best thanks Midway and Aguila for such great ammo.

Fast, oh yes it is! Clocked at a maximum 1750 out of a 24 Savage rifle. Almost makes a 22LR kick. Thats the good news. Now the bad. Its about 3-4 inches off a bench rest at 50 yards out of the same rifle. Blazer groups 1 1/2 for a comparison. And the variation in velocity ran from 1650 to 1750. It just has wild erratic velocities, which may explain the grouping. The best product out there if you want speed. About the worst if you want accuracy. I hope they work the problems out and get this hitting where its pointed. If they do Ill by more. Until then, no more. 5 stars for speed. 1 star for accuracy. Over all 2 because I need to hit what I aim at.

I have been using this ammo and it's hp version now for the last 8 months, it is extremely powerful and utterly reliable, have shot both thru a Ruger MKII bull barrel (older model, approximately 2000 rds) and a newer Ruger 10-22 (approximately 3000 rds) and have yet to have a misfire, feed, or ejection failure, totally reliable and at speeds equaling some .22mag speeds, hard hitting as well, great product!!!

Shot Aguila super maximum for the first time today. 25 yards. Ruger 10/22 with 18" Green Mountain barrel. 25 yard groups were poor--10 shots into golf ball size for 2 different shooting strings. string 1 had velocity hi of 1563, low of 1472, avg of 1528, ES of 91.0, and SD of 23.7 fps. Sting 2 had velocity hi of 1562, low of 1495, avg of 1527, ES of 67.0, and SD of 22.7 fps. This is far below 1750 fps advertised velocity. 18" barrel being optimal for velocity, I don't think you could get to the 1750 fps out of any other length.

I have been hunting and recreational shooting with a 22 for over 30 yrs. I have shot probably 90% of the 22 shells of past and present from Remington, Federal, Winchester, CCI, etc etc. I never really had a favorite to speak of but never avoided any either. When I was growing up it was always, stop by the hardware store and grab whatever was on the shelf.
Some years back a close friend and I got into Racoon hunting. More of an obsession really. As always we aimed for the head. I can remember 2 times for sure that on our way out of the woods, coon in hand, all of a sudden that critter was clawin at my leg. Another round point blank did the job but what was goin on here. I also can't count the number of times we were skinning and would find the bullet lodged just under the skin. They never penetrated the skull.
I found these Aguila's kinda by accident and thought I would give them a try. Maybe the extra velocity was what we needed. To put it bluntly, problem solved! Never had another one just "knocked out" or find anything but shattered skulls when we were skinnin.
As far as accuracy is concerned I have no complaints. They shoot quarter size groups at 50 yds thru my old Rem bolt single shot, my Rem semi-auto tube magazine, and my Ruger 10-22. I have had them hang up from time to time in the Rem auto during ejection but I think this is due to the longer case length. All in all great ammo, I now have a favorite.

Beautiful to here fire. Great ammo, Love the speed, the ft. Lbs. of energy, hits like a brick on target. 150 yrds is no problem with any of my Ruger 10/22 or S&W M&P 15/22 with 10, 25 or 50 round drums.

Very clean, well made ammo. Shoots so clean in the Walther P22 there's no need to clean it!Actual chronograph speed from P33 3.4" barrel = 1,052 fps measured 10' from the muzzle. Kinetic energy = 74 lb-ft (avg). Based on measured speeds of other, 40 grain loads, this may not be the ideal round for a short barreled pistol, but it certainly functions 100% in every .22 it's been fired from.

I really like the HP, but I love these. Off a sandbag rest, no wind, 75*or below,3x9scope,in Marlins, Rugers or old Remington tube bolt actions-150 yards, 1,1/2" groups. Highly recommend these to anyone. Over the past 55 years of shooting .22s, I've shot all kinds, from very good to jokes. These are the hardest hitting, most accurate, most reliable .22s I have found.'

This is the perfect carry round for the Walther P22! It attains maximum velocity from a short barrel, and is ideal for defensive carry. The round also functions superbly in the GSG-5, and the Razorback belt-fed....believe me, a 500 round belt of SuperMax .22 is impressive! I have not found the ammo to be "dirty" at all, but instead note how clean the P22 is after shooting this ammo.

Shoots great from a CZ 452 Ultra LUX with 28.6" barrel. I will buy more. It reaches out and smokes the target. Very accurate, and no miss fires. Bulk is the way to go.

They claim more power and speed than CCI stinger, however when fired at 55 gal steel drums the stinger passed through both sides and dented can behind it aguila passed through one side and dented the back side. Will stick to stinger.

I bought the 22 lr aguila copper plated round nose in bulk for 500 rounds. Not a single misfire or hangfire. It is fairly accurate for my purposes, though it probably wont match quality subsonic ammo. But the punch is justified. The bullet avoids upsetting in phone book tests, but eventually deformed. I have sense adopted it as my defense load for my 22s.
