Version 3.4 CD-ROM for Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000 and Windows 7. Features detailed schematics for over 517 cartridges. Bullet trajectories can be created from a database of 2,069 components, plus a catalog of over 2,360 factory loads. Also includes an external ballistics calculator and a cartridge drawing utility. Electronic versions of the Speer Reloading Manual #14, the RCBS Cast Bullet Manual and upgraded to access all but the most current reloading manuals from other industry sources free of charge. Contains an index of data sources showing where to find loads for over 760 standard Wildcat cartridges. Other references included are Ballistic Coefficient Calculator, Kinetic Energy Calculator, Minimum Twist Rate Chart, Pressure Assignments List, Metric Equivalents Chart and Powder Burning Rate Chart.

Bullet trajectories can be created from a database of 2,069 component bullets, plus a catalog of over 2,360 factory loads.

Electronic versions of the Speer Reloading Manual #14 and the RCBS Cast Bullet Manual are included.

Contains an index of data sources showing where to find loads for over 760 standard Wildcat cartridges.

Contains a Cartridge Designer that allows you to start with a parent cartridge, the program then allows you to change the dimensions and see the case capacity for your new Wildcat recalculate automatically.

Other reference included are: Ballistic Coefficient Calculator, Kinetic Energy Calculator, Minimum Twist Rate Chart, Pressure Assignments List, Metric Equivalents Chart, Powder Burning Rate Chart, and a database of dimensional drawings for 517 cartridges.

Special Note: Some cases have a version 3.0 sticker on the case. This disc is updatable to version 3.4 by just clicking on the update button after the program has loaded. This will connect the software to RCBS and download the complete update for version 3.4 for free.

I have used this tool for over a year. At first it was frustrating to understand the functions, but in time ( a couple of weeks) it all started to fit together. The support for the product is unbelievable. I've been in software support for over 20 years a NEVER has the developer of a product made a recommended change for me within a week. I had a desire for a grid on the targets of the product and in less than a week I was able to download the upgraded target files. The abbreviations can be confusing and difficult to figure out, and it would be great for a search function within the help file (the only reason I did not give it 5 stars). I really like the ability to scan in targets and calculate MOA based upon the shots you select. If you reliant upon a user interface to help use the product you will likely become frustrated, however if you stick with it and figure out how the software works its a great tool. It has helped me become a better reloader and therefore a better shooter.

This software really did well for me over the years (7 years). The external ballistic chart is excellent.The load databases and user database run slowly and don't give an acceptable range of powder charge for a specific load.As Windows has improved RCBS Load has really fallen behind. They have not updated their web page since 01/10 and support calls are unanswered.Preferences and dialog boxes are outdated. For example, every time you exit the software it ask if you are sure? If there was unsaved data I can understand the question otherwise it's an example of the many unnecessary dialog boxes.

I bought this program for the external ballistics calculator and it works perfectly in that aspect. My rounds off of the click chart I built for my 300 RUM with this program are within 5 inches of center at 1000 yards! I'm truly impressed with this aspect of the program. There is also a ton of reloading info. Just having the speer 1-14 load data this program comes with is well worth the price.

One Word : DON"T! The base application is very dated. You can overload the search function by selecting too many reference manuals. It is somewhat confusing to use. There are better and more up-to-date applications out there as a better alterntive. Plus - you are paying for the RCBS Brand premium.

This is an awesome product for the average shooter. If your buying it for load data don't. Buy printed manuals. There is no replacement for published hardcover or softcover manuals. That said updates for data on software are available online. I use this product mainly for external ballistics calculator. I enter my data manually after shooting through chronograph or just to play with different velocities and see results graphed out for me. This is a great tool with alot of different functions. Ffinally, I just installed version 3.0 on Windows 7 OS in about 5 minutes and updated with no problems whatsoever.

Had the first version on my laptop. Loved it. Laptop died due to virus and time to upgrade. Looking for Windows 7 compliant. Version 3.34 is. Use this every time I go to the range to work up a load or wring out long range on loads. Great for filing my favorite loads.

I have been looking for a good ballistics software program that was simple to use. The RCBS product was just terrific and easy to use.I like to chronograph loads then chart their downrange performance. This product allows you to do just that and to design your own "wildcat" loads via computer! It is not the most expensive ballistic software on the market, but I think that it is the best! Thank you Midway and RCBS.

I really like RCBS load, ...

I really like RCBS load, but I like it primarily for non-load data related features. It has a cartridge design feature that's easy to use. It also includes lots of load data (especially for obscure or older cartridges), but it's not as good for load/pressure estimating as QuickLoad. It has a lot of other neat graphs & info (barrel twist rate calculators, old wildcat info from Speer 2 & 3 manuals, ballistic calculator, etc).It offers key info on brass thickness, web height, etc., which is useful for drawing/designing potential wildcats.

Lots of good data, very poor program and user interface. Not intuitive. Hard to learn. Poor interface with MS Windows. I have 20 years of computer experience and am resposible for the maintenance of my company network. Unable to store and retreive user data. The only part of this program that is usable is the ballistics tables. Save your money and get some good manuals!

I was concerned about some of the bad reviews I read here but I had read so many good magazine articles on this program, I ordered it anyway. Now I realize the guys having problems might not have read the manual. Who reads the manual anyway?I'll admit it's not the easiest to use right away but, Windows isn't that easy either? Infinity may be simpler but RCBS.LOAD is way more powerful. It's more advanced. I have had to call rcbs a few times to ask questions and they have always been able to help me. I also called the guy who wrote the program and suggested a feature I thought would be handy, He agreed and put it in the next version and mailed me a new copy!I really didn't expect that kind of service. I would definity buy this software again.
