Federal Fusion Ammunition is loaded with a specialized bullet, perfect for deer sized game, that features an electrochemically bonded lead core to copper jacket, eliminating the possibility of a core/jacket separation. The boat tail rifle bullets feature a slight dimple in the nose that delivers exceptional accuracy and devastating terminal performance which delivers an impact that radiates lethal shock throughout the target. This energy is optimized through mass weight retention, a top-secret tip-skiving process and superior bullet integrity. This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, in boxer primed, reloadable brass cases.

My Winchester Classic Featherweight shoots this ammo the best of any factory load I've used. 1/4 inch groups at 100 yrds. This ammo did not come apart on 120 yrd kill on a black tail deer. The internal damage to the animal was devastating. No meat lost due to the bullet falling apart. Great job on Federal's part for coming up with a very accurate bullet.

I have been using the 130 gr. Fusion Ammo in 270 Win for three years now. I am very pleased with the accuracy, and have taken five deer at ranges from 25 yards to 200 yards, however this year I experienced complete failure to expand. I shot a nice 8 pt. at 150 yards and he dropped in his tracks, the shot was quartering toward me and I hit him high in the front ribs breaking one rib. I found the bullet in the opposite hind qtr. with very little expansion. The tip was still smaller than the base! This makes me re-think my choice of bullet. I believe these are good out to 100 yards but, expansion is not consistent past that.

Sub-moa performance out of my Model 700 and deadly as a lightning bolt on game. Four of the five deer I've killed with this load at ranges from 20 to 120 yards dropped on the spot; the other (my largest whitetail buck) ran about 40 yards and was dead when I got to him. All shots have been pass-throughs with good exit wounds. Great product at a great price!

I recently purchased a box of 130 gr 270 federal fusions to shoot during the hunting season well all I can say is now I have cases of ammo not only for the 270 but also the 243,300 win mag, 223, and I reload the fusion bullets for my 7x57 to federal specs and also shoot the 300gr fusions in my 209x50 now I am waiting on them to sell the fusions for the 209x45 and after they start that everything I shoot will be Federal Fusions!! IMHO these are just as accurate or possibly more accurate that handloads!! Once again that's just IMHO.

This is the ammunition that every big game hunter should try. I recently purchased a Tikka lite 3 the first year fusion was on the market. It was the first brand of ammunition that I tried. The patterns are unreal. This is the most accurate factory ammo I have ever tried. My 5 by 5 buck that I got this year is proof of that. It was ranged at 327 yards and no problem. Right where I put it. Grossed 159 in.

This ammo provides very tight groups, touching each other at 100 yards, out of my 56 year old Pre 64 model 70, with a full length Aluminum bed Accurate Arms stock. Makes reloading a question mark for this rifle.

I used this load on my 2009 whitetail buck I killed on Thanksgiving morning. 125 yard shot straight on into the chest and he ran 40 yards and piled up. After gutting I examined his organs. The fusion had taken half his heart off, destroyed his lungs and punched a golf ball size hole in his liver. I couldnt be happier with Federal Fusions and for all my future hunting seasons, my Ruger Hawkeye will have a magazine full!

I used these for the 2008 MT rifle season. I can't say enough good stuff about them. The best most reasonably priced load on the market. Federal hit a home run with all the Fusion loads. I shot two deer with the fusions last year. The doe I shot was maybe a 50 yard shot and she ran 30 yards before failing to clear the fence. The buck I shot was about 150 yard shot and he ran 10 steps and crashed into a bush. Entry hole was good and exit hole was amazing. At least the size of an orange. Pass through so I didnt find the bullet. I have 2 Ruger Hawkeye rifles and the fusions shoot under 1/2 inch from both rifles. I wont shoot anything else in my 270s.
