Use the PRW rings when a cross-slot format is desired or necessary but detachability isn't. Leupold PRW solid steel rings secure directly to the base with two screws for rock solid dependability.

CHOOSING RINGS: Ring height is determined by measuring the outside objective (bell) diameter on your scope. If you aren't sure which rings will suit your needs, please refer to the Ring Height Application Chart.

Great rings - steel ...

Great rings - steel construction and four screws on each ring for a very firm grip. After tightening to the base, the handles can be rotated out of the way into any desired position. I have read reviews that the snap-on to the scope can mar the scope finish and the solution was to use a piece of paper - this worked great for me, especially on a set of silver rings with a silver scope (more delicate finish). The idea is to wrap a piece of paper around the scope, then snap on the rings such that they only contact the paper. After the rings are snapped, hold the paper and rotate the rings until the paper is free and you have the rings on the scope and an intact finish.

Probably the best rings for the money. The are a very well made product. Simple, and extremely effective. Dont buy the $10 rings, you'll just throw them away and buy these. Very hard to beat, if not impossible. These rings are it for any of my permament attach hunting rings.

I really like the design ...

I really like the design of these rings, but the securing plates are a bit short to really secure to a Picatinny (Mil-Std 1913) rail. They fit a bit better on a Weaver base (even though the two are thought to be identical).I had to machine my own plates to get the secure clamping I feel comfortable with. Leupold offered no help, saying that they fit their bases just fine.I use two pairs of these rings.

These rings are great, the additional screws really give a greater hold to your scope and base. Excellent machine work. This product definitely deserves 5 stars. There is a difference between Weaver and Picatinny rails. The product information clearly states "Weaver type". Pricey, but you get what you pay for.

The design of these rings are great!! Four screws hold the scope very securely, and two screws per ring hold them to the base much more so than a single screw.One problem is that the clamping "claw" is too short to properly grasp a MIL 1913 Picatinny Rail. I had to machine my own clamps for the rings to securely fit on the Picatinny.It is fine for the Weaver-style geometry bases - yes, there is a difference, and it is noticeable with these ring clamps.

I gave these a 4 because I believe they're rather expensive, even as good rings, just because they're Leupold. Very very good rings, but I do believe the Warne rings are a better value. These do somehow look neater than the Warne..
