This is an excellent mount,it fits my gun and my eye relief perfectly. I own three already,am now ordering my forth.Only problem is the front screw is a hair too long, and needs to be touched on a grinder, but the strength and design more than makes up for it.I own a lot of Warne products, and in this world of "Junk" I have never been disapointed with anything I have bought with there name on it.

Be careful, it's too ...

Be careful, it's too short. It only extends to the front edge of the receiver. Even if I slide it all the way forward by only using two of the mounting screws the scope is still about 1" too far back for my old 2-7X Redfield WideView which is pretty compact. Take a look at the other Marlin bases out there Warne. There's a reason they extend beyond the receiver. Otherwise nice quality solid base that's beefier than the rest. It would probably work nicely with a very compact red dot.
