This Otis Small Caliber Cleaning System was designed for use on .17 caliber through .25 caliber rim-fire, center-fire and air rifles. It includes two .17 caliber Memory-Flex cleaning rods, a .17 caliber T-handle, small caliber patches, airgun cable thread connector, .17 and .22 caliber short brushes, and a 1/2 oz tube of Otis O85 Ultra Bore Solvent. Using the all-in-one solvent, you can now clean, lubricate, and protect your firearm in one step.

I decided to give the Otis system a try and have not looked back. The system works fantastic, the breech to bore Otis Memory-Flex cleaning rods are great. They swab out the barrel without any worry of damage, and by pulling the patch through from the breech end it leaves the bore spotless. I will never go back to the old style. Also, the Otis patches really do work slick, just follow the directions and your home free. I would strongly recommend Otis and Midway. They both out perform all rivals.

Recently purchased an SR-22 and bought this kit to clean it with. So far it has worked as stated. I have had Otis products in the past and, while not perfect, they never failed to deliver. Would have given it 5 stars had they included it in their "complete" cleaning system.

This is a well thought out product. The design is simple but very effective and easy to use and cleans very well. I use it in the field and I am very pleased. Anyone who has used a bore snake in .17 knows how hard it can be to get the weight through the bore the first time. Pull this rod through with a patch and then use the Boresnake and you have the best of both words.This rod system coils into a small light package so there is never an excuse to be in the field with out a cleaing kit!

At first I was not to sure about this cleaning kit, But now that I have one and used it a couple of times I will never go back to the old push and pull rod. This is one awesome kit for the ruger 10/22 or any other autoloading .22 rimfire.More compact for storage and very easy to use. Just can't say enough about otis poducts except get you one and try it, because once you have you will love it.

THE cleaning system for the 10/22!! Wont harm gun, even usable without bolt removal. Of course very good for any .22 LR. I use it for Anschtz match rifle. If you have an Otis universal package you could buy the smaller small bore package. If you can afford the few $$ more buy this set and the Otis universal set.

Very quick and easy to ...

Very quick and easy to use, and very compact as well. Makes rod cleaning look crude by comparison. The flexible rod does not harm your barrel and fits in the palm of your hand when rolled up. The patches that are included are round and about the size of an ordinary 30 cal patch, but with three holes in it. Each hole allows it to be slipped on the rod in a different way, exposing a new clean surface. Although if your barrel is very dirty, one pass will probably soil the entire patch. Any patch 30 cal or larger can be adapted to fit this system by simply poking holes in them. The Otis "all-purpose" patches are 3" in diameter and can be passed through 22 cal barrels 3-6 times. The kit comes in a 4" wide, round zippered case, with one small bottle of solvent that fits inside the case, and another slightly larger tube of solvent as an extra. As for the people who get patches stuck inside their barrels, I don't see how it could happen. Either they aren't securing the patch tightly enough or make it too tight in the barrel. Never been a problem for me. Overall this is just a great cleaning system. Try it, you won't be disappointed.
