Designed to exceed Military specifications, these steel mounts from Nightforce are tested for unfailing, repeatable performance. Bases are constructed from heat-treated, high-strength steel and CNC machined from a single steel billet to closely match the receiver contour. Gunsmith blanks include no mounting hardware and require fitting to specific action.

This is a very nice scope base. Previously I had tried a Weaver 20 MOA base it was crooked. This is mounted on my Savage Model 12 BVSS in .308 and works great so far. It is made out of steel, as evidenced by its weight. It just feels like a quality piece!

Very nice part. This is my fourth or fifth one and they have all been of high quality and fit perfectly. If you shoot Savage this base is the one to get, particularly with a heavy scope like the Nightforce. NOTE: You should bed this rail. If you need help with the procedure NightForce will be glad to tell you how to do it.

An outstanding scope base. Fit and finish is great. I have had the same base on a Remington Short Action rifle for a while so when I tried a Savage Model 10 I used the same base. Buy the best and cry once.

This is the first Picatinny scope base I have used. Wish all my rifles had them. The Nightforce base is very well made and came with instructions. No problem at all with mounting. I am very pleased.

This base fit my Savage ...

This base fit my Savage mo.10FP perfectly. The only downside to this base was that it is too long for my Leupold Mark IV 4.5-14x50mm scope to fit with the medium rings I have. If you have higher rings or a 40mm scope youll be just fine. To fix this problem, I used a hack saw and cut off about 1/4 inch then painted it to stop rust build up.

As with any Nightforce product, I was completely satisfied with the quality of workmanship of the 1 piece 20 MOA scope base. The best part is they make them for Savage firearms. I have only shot my savage .260 10-FCP-K twenty-five times, but have not had any issues with the scope base.

I bought this base to replace the Two-Piece Valdada base. The previous base left my scope with a small cant about 3-4 degrees off. Once I tightened the rings to the scope, I took the rings off the base and laid it on a flat surface. The rings did not fit flush with the flat surface therefore giving me the 3-4 degree cant, throwing my rounds way off past 300 meters. The Nightforce single piece fixed that problem right away. As for the base itself, I couldn't move the scope back far enough for perfect eye relief because the base was about a half inch too long. Im using a 4.5-14x 50mm Leupold Mark 4 LR/T scope with Mark 4 medium rings on top of a Savage mo.10FP. If you're using a 40mm scope with medium rings, this won't be an issue for you. To fix this problem so the front of my scope wasn't hitting the base, I used a hack saw to take off that half inch and some good flat black paint to cover the exposed steel. I could have also bought higher rings but I didnt feel like spending another $150 and the lower the scope is to the weapon, the better it looks to me.
