WOW! This is truly a great stock. It feels wonderful in the hands and is one of the best synthetic materials I have handled. I had a rubber Hogue, but there was a lot of flex in the forend. The nylon does not flex at all. I couldn't put a sling on the rubber Hogue due to the flex, but the nylon can wear one without fear of change in point of bullet impact due to pressure shifts. The fit is truly a drop in and the barrel is centered flawlessly in the center. The fit, finish, and feel of this stock is amazing when you consider the low price. I highly recommend this stock to any hunters out there. I absolutely love mine!

Just to let anyone concerned know. I have a 10/22 from 1984 and the way this stock is inletted when the reciever is tightened in the stock there is an 1/2"...Read complete review

Just to let anyone concerned know. I have a 10/22 from 1984 and the way this stock is inletted when the reciever is tightened in the stock there is an 1/2" gap between the front of the forend and the barrel. Actually the barrel does not touch the stock but except for a few inches from the reciever. I plan to keep this stock and shim it if I need to. Newer 10/22s might fit this stock right but olders might not.

I was debating on getting this stock for some time, and now that I have it installed on my factory Ruger 10/22 I love it. I haven't experienced any stock flex like I hear people talk about with the rubber version, or the nylon version too sometimes. I really like how it includes sling swivel studs for mounting a sling or bipod. Fit & finish was a simple drop in fit, within 5 minutes I had the old stock removed and the new one installed. I have big hands and I like how this stock feels in my hands better then the factory original synthetic stock on my gun.

I prefer the grip and feel of dimpled hard nylon over rubber stocks which can feel sticky and catch lint. My action and magazines fit without fuss. It flexes a little with a tight sling. While it doesn't look flashy it gets the job done in hot, cold, wet, or dry weather. After a number of trouble-free years, its one of my better 10/22 improvements. Simple, rugged, effective, and reasonably priced -- what else do you really need?

I bought one of these Hogue black hard nylon 10/22 stocks 10 years ago to protect the very nice checkered walnut one that came on my 10/22 Deluxe. My children were small and I didn't want the factory stock all beaten up while they were learning to shoot with the 10/22. This stock is so comfortable, particularly in the grip and fore-end, that it stayed on the rifle for years after the kids were grown and more careful! It is presently being used by a friend who has exactly the same situation. I kind of miss it, it was so comfortable.

I spent 4 hours with a file trying to make this stock fit a new 10/22 barreled action. I cannot get the magazine out of the gun without prying it out with a screw driver. The magazine removes easily when the action is in the factory stock.

This stock was a perfect "drop-in" fit for my 1969 Ruger 10/22 with a Volquartsen trigger assembly. Butler Creek's stock didn't work with this rifle.

I had to slightly modify this stock to get my rifle to fit right. After my sanding job, I noticed some barrel droop. Probably my fault after sanding. I fixed this problem as well. I must say that this stock looks and feels great. Now that Ive got it dialed in and fitted (just like almost any new stock would need) it shoots great, and looks twice as good. I recommend this stock, but it may require a little sanding along the barrel channel for a better fit.

This stock turned my ugly duckling into a beautiful firearm. Perfect fit right out of the box. I have a new 10/22 and the total time to remove and replace the drop in stock was less than five minutes. Can't wait to attach the Ruger black sling with red eagle logo. This stock is really nice and worth the replacement cost and effort.
