I purchased this rail for ...

I purchased this rail for my TRG-42 in 300WM. It is well made and light. Unlike steel TRG-22 units from BO, Near, Leupold, etc., this one is made specific for the TRG-42 Long action. In order to add additional rigidity to the part is shaped in a 'U,' with two side pieces that cover the left & right of the top of the receiver. The ONLY problem with this unit is that it requires DEEP screws. Those screws are not METERIC, so USO suggests that you re-tap the receiver to use US Standard screws. (This is a significant downside.) Otherwise, it's a well made and light product. I'm not sure if I'd use it with the .338 Lapua magnum.
