Ney Vit-N-Flux Fluxing Compound makes fluxing casting alloy easy. Veteran bullet casters know the importance of fluxing out impurities and cleaning lead before casting and recommend the use of Vita-N-Flux. Vita-N-Flux is made in the USA and is widely used by many industrial operations. Specially designed for the white metal alloys used in bullet casting. Using Vita-N-Flux increases the fluidity and aids in mixture of alloys when casting bullets. Vita-N-Flux also brings dross to the top of alloy mixture for easy removal. Simply shave off a small amount (pea size) of Vita-N-Flux and mix into the alloy. Stir until a powdery dross forms at the surface and remove with a skimming ladle. One 6oz tube will last the average bullet caster several years. Color may vary from lot to lot. Vita-N-Flux comes shipped in a cardboard tube and is flammable.

Technical Information Instruction
  • Use small amounts of flux for 100# pot of molten Ney white metal alloys. Slice off small amount and mix into the vortex of the molten alloy as the alloy is being stirred. The flux must be submerged into the center of the mix in order to work properly. Some smoke will occur. If the material flames up, reduce the temperature of the metal. Keep stirring the pot until a dry powdery dross forms at the surface. Repeat if necessary. Remove dry powder dross with appropriate skimming ladle and handle as required by law. For best results, blend virgin alloy material with original by a minimum of 50%.
