Great hat. I ordered mine ...

Great hat. I ordered mine a tad on the larger side (larger than if I were ordering a ball cap) and the fit is great. Nice and comfortable, very functional, high quality made hat. Made to Military Specifications!

For those of us with hat ...

For those of us with hat sizes larger than 7 1/4" this hat is a most welcome addition to outdoor clothing. Apparently 7 1/8" is the nominal hat size in the US. Its high time somebody came up with a line of hats with sizes - most particularly, large sizes. Great Head gear!

FINALLY! A "fitted" ...

FINALLY! A "fitted" boonie not a "one size doesn't fit all". Just got mine in (wearing it right now). Lost my favorite boonie last year and until now, couldn't find one I liked. Size; One size does not fit all! according to one of the oldest hat makers in the U.S. and another long time uniform hat manufacturer, this big melon of mine is between 7 3/4 and an 8. This 7 3/4 hat fit's just a wee-bit loose for me, but as indicated by the tag inside "Initial lose fit required for continued comfort"; at 100% cotton, I presume they are factoring in shrinkage? Color: The Olive Drab is as Olive Drab as it can get, when I first took it out in the den and before getting under good light, I thought it was black. Construction is top notch, stitching very secure, straight and even where it should be, the chin strap is about the size of flattened and hollowed out paracord. The leather tensioner/keeper could have had smaller holes for the chin strap, unless there is tension on the strap, it doesn't hold very well, I trust that when it becomes more pliable after use, it'll probably hold better. With brass, "screened" vent grommets, it'll be nice for a change not to have rusty drip stains on my hat too. Would I buy a Truspec Boonie again? I was aprehensive since there were no reviews on any of the other Truspec products... I can only attribute that lack of feedback due to the fact, people must've been so happy with their hats, they just forgot to post a review; I've added a Multicam one to my Midway Wishlist and as soon as it's back in stock, it'll be included with my next order.
