This video provides a simple, yet detailed, presentation of how to improve the trigger action of your Smith & Wesson revolver. The video directions are easy to follow and cover the subject well. This is the best "how to" video I have purchased.

This is a great video for improving the action of a Smith & Wesson revolver. It moves at a good pace, but not too fast for a novice. Jerry explains everything he does in detail and clarity. I have completed a job on one revolver and it helped the smoothness of the double action. I don't think that Jerry gave enough emphasis on changing out the main spring. I think maybe he may have been worried about reliability. Would definitely recommend this video to anyone wishing to improve their Smith revolver. Jerry did an excellent job on this.

I recommend that you purchase this video. As a 25 year technical instructor, I have seen hundreds of training videos. In my opinion the technical info in this video is excellent and comprehensive, and anyone who owns a Smith & Wesson revolver should watch it. After you absorb the processes Jerry discusses (in a very pleasant conversational tone) you can proceed with the confidence that usually only comes from personal experience gained through trial and error. You will know what not to do, which is more important than simply knowing what to do in any process. If you have any interest in S&W revolvers I think you will benefit from watching this DVD.In the summary at the end of the instruction, I found additional information that will help me choose replacement stocks (grips) as well as very interesting info specific to revolvers about primer seating for better performance. My appreciation for my revolver has dramatically increased as a result of this video.There is only one negative point, and it has nothing to do with Jerrys fine instruction; the cameraman should have managed the zoom-in close ups to achieve better focus control. The visual information comes through OK, but I mention it to warn those of us who are bothered by such things as well as to take the Pollyanna edge off of this review.If for no other reason, buy it to see how fast a wheel gun can be operated! I cant fire my 9mm semi-auto that fast. Go on, order it now.

Don't get the Kuhnhausen ...

Don't get the Kuhnhausen book if you are into 'light' gunsmithing limited to disassembling/reassembling your S&W revolver, and performing your own trigger job. Get this DVD-you will not be disappointed. This DVD includes much-if not all-that you really need to know to perform a trigger job-quite comprehensive. This trigger job DVD covers disassembly/reassembly in detail as well, so no need to purchase his other DVD re that area. This is the better of the two. Highly recommend!

Great instructional DVD. If you have attention to detail and pay attention to Jerry instructions, you WILL have a nice finished trigger job. He explains all the does and most importantly, the don't. Great dvd, my 686 double action is just as good as a my professionally smithed 629 and my single action is better.
