The Mesa Tactical LEO Telescoping Stock Adapter is designed for use on the Remington 870 and Mossberg 500/590 shotguns. These stock adapters allow users to attach AR-15 collapsible stock to the host shotguns and feature a lowered stock elevation allowing the use of iron sights or even the bead sight. The Mesa Tactical LEO adapters also accept optional stamped steel sling loop and hook loops.

This is a great product with a little fitting and one proviso. Being very picky I fit the product to my gun with a file for a seamless fit. Then I applied a cote of Cerakote to get it back to black. The one proviso I have for this is as mentioned in other reviews make sure to use a MIL-SPEC buffer tube. A helpful tip that I can offer is to fill the buffer tube with lead shot to help with the balance of the weapon.

GREAT ADAPTER! WENT ON WITH NO FUSS. Now I can adjust my stock on my Mossberg 590. Since I am somewhat short the adjustable stock makes all the differance. I ended up putting a commercial DPMS M4 stock on it no complaints what so ever!~Randee

Very solid product. Fit on my Mossberg 590 is excellent. Installs easily, instructions are well written and easy to follow (but it's basically so self explanitory you almost don't need them). Very useful that it comes with an AR grip screw! Many people have a spare grip lying around after upgrading an AR, but you probably re-used the factory screw to install it. Finish is excellent as well. Two thoughts I want to offer others considering this product, both related to the pistol grip configuration: accuating both the tang safety and the slide release lock requires that you change your grip on the weapon. I'm still very satisified with the item and do not mean to imply that my two observations should cause anyone not to purchase one, just things to consider when making your decision. Also, if you are someone who doesn't like "multi-color" weapons, then you might want to pause, the finish is grey so with the black (usually...) of the AR components and the factory finish, you will have a two-tone scheme...

I had been wanting to try a setup like this for awhile. Tax time came around, so I made the jump. I purchased the entire Mesa Tactical setup for a Mossberg 590SP I had also just purchased. Installation is really straight forward. If you've done any kind of stock swapping or building of an AR15 style rifle, you probably won't even have to look at the instructions. The stock adapter itself, is ROBUST. I've looked at other stock adapters for various shotguns and I'm happy I spent the extra money on this one. Nice and thick in all the right places, and for being aluminum, it has some nice heft to it. I've only just put it on and not even shot the shotgun yet, but I don't see how this thing would ever fail. Even the finish looks and feels thick and tough. Sure, there are cheaper options out there, but after seeing some of them up close, and considering the real power of a shotgun, I'd seriously question their reliability. I found out the hard way that not all aftermarket stocks are created equal on another Mossberg I have. Plus this one gives you the option to choose any MIL SPEC type AR stock of your choice. In my case, the Magpul CTR. Just a word of note to potential buyers. Be careful about which pistol grip you order for this adapter. Any pistol grip with the thumb cushion will not fit and you will need to cut the curved part flush so it sits on the adapter at a 90 degree angle. I didn't realize this and order the Magpul MOE+. Not a huge deal and nothing a few minutes with a hack saw won't solve, but it doesn't specify on the site and some might be irritated by that. Magpul and Hogue both make a grip that will slip on without modification though. Midway, as usual, fast shipping and great customer service! No complaints on either here!
