The Eberlestock G3 Phantom Backpack is a tactical pack system with an integrated Backscabbard drag bag for added versatility. The pack can be reconfigured for use by separating the drag bag from the pack for times when you only want to use the drag bag or if you only want to use the backpack. Features of the system include 2 side sleeves which will each carry a 3 liter hydration system, a Shooter's Harness which allows for shooting with the pack still on, a comfortable waist belt and a large array of PALS compatible webbing for the attachment of accessories. The G3 Phantom Backpack is the perfect tactical backpack with enough versatility to adapt to a number of situations.

Excellent pack! There are ...

Excellent pack! There are mounting points everywhere inside and out for pouches, mag holders, etc... Plenty of room inside for a couple of days on the trail. The scabbard will hold a DPMS 308 with mag and scope (Leupold VX-III, 50mm objective). Construction is top notch as with all Eberlestock products. I added the 3L hydration bladder. While it does fit in the side hydration pouch, it takes some effort to put it in there. I'll be switching to a 2L version for all but the longest days on the trail. I've also begun using this pack as a range bag. It makes moving everything around the range very easy, especially when moving from 100yds to 200 to 300, etc... The only drawback is that it is tempting to put everything in the pack when heading to the range (pistols, rifle, ammunition, etc...) which makes it illegal to transport (no ammo and firearms in same container). This, of course, is not the packs fault! I give it 5 stars.
