Lee 2-Cavity Bullet Molds are a great choice for reloaders looking for a quality mold at an affordable price. Lee machines their mold blocks from aluminum making them rust resistant. Aluminum molds heat up and cool down faster than iron or steel molds and good bullets can usually be produced only after a few casts. In addition, aluminum blocks are one-third the weight of iron or steel mold blocks offering the bullet caster less fatigue during extended casting sessions. To ensure the best possible bullets, mold block halves are CNC machined for unmatched roundness and size control. Weights given are Lee's weights with suggested alloy; actual weight may vary due to the alloy mixture used.

I have used this mold to produce hunting bullets for my custom Marlin 336 carbine. Bullets cast is very accurate. Using 1:20 tin-lead alloy, the bullets drop at 0.359" and very round. Using lyman gas checks and Hodgdon 110 powder, my carbine can do 3/4" at 50 yds. Hunting coyotes is no problem.Just remember to flux the lead properly and smoke the cavities before each session. I have also used the bullets from this mold in 357 mag for my Ruger GP100 4" revolver. 2" at 25 yds, no problem.

I have used this mold to produce accurate bullets out of my Thompson Contender. Using hornady gas checks and H110 powder I can do 1.5" at 25 yds w/ iron sights. Mounting a Leupold 4x scope, I can consistently hit a 6" inch steel plate at 50-75 yds 9 out of 10 times w/ easy concentration. I have permanently retired a lot of coyotes, rabbits and varmints with my rig. This mold is also easy to maintain and no worry of rusting since its aluminum. Break-in was also easy. Smoke cavities well, pre-heat the mold and flux the lead to cast 0.360" bullets. Lube w/ lyman orange. The bullets are also accurate out of my 6" S&W686 at 25 yds, forming a 6 leaf clover w/ six shots . I will not exchange this mold for a steel mold or any mold for that matter.

Of all the Lee aluminum block molds I've used, this one continues to be my favorite. Using a good gas check and lube, you can get consistently reliable results in the 1300 to 1400 fps range....without leading problems. Makes a devastating 357 mag bullet.

Very pleasing mold to use. Very light compared to equivalent steel mold. Bullets produced are very accurate out of my Thompson contender rifle - 1.75" at 50 yds. Using wheel weights I get consistent 155 gr 0.360" bullets. I used Lyman gas checks, javelina lube and Reloader powder to drive these bullets to 1500 fps w/ little leading. Low maintenance too. I'm very delighted with this cheapie!!

I am shooting the C358-158-SWC bullet from a Glock 17 9mm with the factory barrel. this is the most accurate handgun bullet I have ever fired, hits exactly what I am aiming at every time with rifle like accuracy, at long range. the reason for its accuracy in my 9mm is because the Glock barrel has a very fast twist rate of 1 turn in 9 inches. I have tried lighter weight shorter lead bullets that have less contact with the barrel and they strip out and are noticeably less accurate. I am using the C358-158-SWC with no gas check sized at .357 with a Lee sizer and Lyman super moly or lar's 2500+ bullet lube. lead is straight clip on wheel weights water quenched and I am not seeing any leading from a Glock oem polygonal rifling barrel. the bullet is so long that it will not fit into a Remington or Winchester case without bulging the case so that the round will not chamber. I have to sort brass and use Federal or Speer cases. I am using a modified, grinder cut off wheel shortened .357 magnum case expander / bell mouth die to force the case to a larger size than would be achieved with a 9mm expander, so that the lead bullet does not get squeezed to a smaller diameter by the case which would lead to blow by and leading. bullet must be cast with the back as flat as possible for best accuracy. I have had 100% reliability with my Glock 17 and the swc bullet nose. I recommend a slightly shorter bullet like the Lyman 358477 or the Lee 358 158 rf for the 9mm because this one needs to be seated too deep to fit in most 9mm cases.
