Sear is specially ground and polished to produce a trigger pull of less than 2-1/2 lbs. when used in conjunction with Power's hammer. Fits Ruger 10/22 and Ruger 10/22 Magnum.

Power Custom Competition sear kit was great. Easy to install and made the trigger pull (along with a competition hammer kit) reduce to about 2-2.5 lb. Directions mentioned a possibility of having to file down the bottom tang of the sear to clear the safety, but with newer guns and newer sears from PowerCustom, this is not required anymore. Safety sets and releases perfectly. As far as safety of the setup goes, the sear kit survived the bench test of dropping a cocked (unloaded please) rifle from about 2 ft above your bench with no accidental firing. In summary, better trigger pull than you can get by doctoring a factory sear and much more safe too. Best improvement over factory parts you can get. Buy one and see for yourself.

I thought this product ...

I thought this product was reasonably easy to install, and the dummy/drift pin they included was a great help. Allows you to put the trigger/sear in the receiver as a unit. Unfortunately, it effectively converts the rifle to a single shot. One shot, done. Cycle by hand, repeat. My 10/22 has no factory parts beyond the receiver, and most is Power Custom, but I don't believe there is enough engagement surface to hitch back up as the rifle cycles. Despite my best efforts, I had to lighten the sear spring and return the factory sear, which with the match hammer and trigger, results in a more than adequate pull and complete reliability. Note: with a competition hammer, sear, and reduced sear spring, it's my opinion that the trigger pull is almost dangerously light. I could only get the feel for this sear at the workbench, and from that point on it renders the rifle unreliable, possibly useless. A rare miss on PC's part.

Really nice product, I ...

Really nice product, I used it in collaboration with the Volquartsen hammer and I really like the way it feels. There is a little creep, but once you get used to it, it's not so bad. Plus it's much easier and more reliable than doing your own trigger job.

I used the Power Custom Competition Sear, Rifle Trigger with over travel adjustment, and the Competition Hammer along with the included springs and shims. The results can be summed up with one word. SWEET! No modifications required what-so-ever. I've already ordered another set for my other 10/22.

When used with the competition hammer it brought my 10/22 down to about 2lbs, and is MUCH more crisp. I'd say you must use this with the comp. hammer other-wise you won't see much of a difference.

This is a great product. Trigger pull is drastically reduced from the stiff factory setting to about 1-1/2Lbs. Makes squeezing the trigger easier and I believe it has made me more accurate. I have shot over 4000 rounds since installing this product and I have not had a problem.

The sear was not a ...

The sear was not a drop-in. The instructions that come with it require that the sear be filed/honed to clear the safety. The trial and error work to accomplish this took a bit of time.So, with this sear, a Power Custom hammer and the factory hammer spring installed, the trigger pull is now 3-1/4 lbs, which I'm satisfied with.
