The Caldwell Tack Driver Shooting Rest Bag features the innovative Caldwell non-stretching, non-sagging polyester, plus an added non-slip, non-marring material on the top and bottom that combine to offer a stable and secure shooting rest. This shooting bag is solid yet portable using the integral shoulder strap, and can be used just about anywhere, even on vehicle hoods. The long, self-tightening contact surfaces grip your rifle or shotgun like a vise and aid in reducing muzzle jump and felt recoil.

Bag package specifically says do not use sand. After reading about mice eating the rice filled bags (that was what I WAS going to use) I decided against the rice and went with kitty litter. I didn't use media because I use it for cleaning up my brass. By the time it is too dirty to use for that anymore, I don't want it in the shooting rest either. This bag works GREAT! Holds my rifles just where I want them to be when I am shooting from a bench. I will state that it isn't meant for a 30 round box magazine but it works fine if you keep that in mind. Who shoots a 30 round mag benching anyway?? That is more for the defense of the castle. This is the perfect bag for a perfect price.

The TackDriver Bag is a good concept and worked for rifles other than my AR-15 with a 30-round magazine: the bag is too short too accommodate the height required to keep the magazine from hitting the shooting bench. Also, after filling with 15 lbs of corn cob tumbling medium, the filler necks allowed it to spill out requiring the necks to be sealed with duct tape! (?????)

This bag worked great for me. I filled it with rice. Mice are no problem because I keep it stored in a 20mm ammo can when I am not using it along with my other sand bags and shooting rests. I have not had any problems with the seams coming apart. It is difficult to get it filled completely and it needs to be filled up completely to work properly and hold the rifle. I am satisfied with mine and would recommend it to other shooters.

I have had mine for about 5 months now and used it about 7 times. I filled it with (3) 5 lb. bags of Jonny Cat litter from the .99 cent store. Took a little while to get full and mine is pretty packed. Not really noticing any seam issues atm. The product does what it says it will do. I am happy and do recommend. Beats my old crumpled up levi jacket and other goodies out of the truck any day.

This bag is great. I haven't had any problems with stitching or handles. People that state that an ar with 30rd mags are too long need to turn the bag on end. It handles the long mag just fine and is stable. It can be turned three different ways for different heights. Polypropylene beads are the best bet as far as filler, cheap and lightest..

I decided to pick up one of these bags for some occasional bench shooting - mostly just sighting in scopes and testing new hand loads - based on the reviews here. I am not disappointed. Many people have commented on various fillers and their potential problems, so I opted to use something other than foodstuffs, for all the obvious reasons. I used those Poly-Fil Poly-Pellets, which can be found at various fabric retailers. I found mine at my local "Walton family" establishment. They're about the same cost as your average corn media. It took about 5-1/2 of the 32oz bags to fill it full, and it weighs 11 pounds. Since they're polypropylene beads, there are no worries from moisture or mice. This is a well-made bag, especially for the price. You will not go wrong with it.

Great shooting bag, filled mine with plastic beads used in stuffing teddy bears, found in sewing section, won't rot, mice don't eat it, doesn't hold moisture and gives the bag the right weight for holding a rifle steady.

This is my first bench bag and I must say I really like it. It was shipped and recieved very quickly and exactly as described. I filled it with rice, almost 20#, and put it to use for the first time today. I was very happy with the overall performance. I was able to shoot nice groups with both 7mm Rem mag and .243 Win. The bag held both rifles well and ver sturdy. When I initially filled the bag I was not able to get the rice to pack well. However, after a few rounds and shaking, moving the bag the fill settled well and I was able to top it off and it was much more steady. The carry strap is a nice addition, when the bag is full it can be a little difficult to grasp the bag. If I ever need another bag this will be the one.
