Kyle Lamb is ...

Kyle Lamb is extraordinarily experienced. The format of the book is outstanding. Not quite sure it brings any groundbreaking new methodologies to the arena, but it is still a very well written text and the photos are top notch. I disagree with his assessment that point shooting is not worth the time practicing. His mission as a Special Forces Soldier was quite a bit different than say a police officer working the street or the average citizen. When you are ambushed and you are reacting to a deadly force assault you simply cannot access the cortex of your brain or perform a complex motor skill until you can get to appoint of domination in the fight at allows you to access the cerebral cortex. This is different for every person and even with all of the training experiences a seasoned veteran like Kyle, you simply cannot change physiology. So on that point only I disagree with his assessment on the need to be able to Threat Focus shoot. Which does by the way require training? Otherwise excellent book and I will recommend it to everyone. I can't wait for his next one.
