Product Information

ProMag magazine bodies are constructed of high carbon heat-treated steel and TIG-welded for strength. The springs are precision wound using heat-treated chrome silicon wire. Bases and followers are injection molded from polymers selected for their durability. The result is quality, consistency, durability and reliability.

This product worked great with a Remington R1 1911, and a Rock Island armory 1911. I used Winchester ammo and wolf steel cased. Odd how low end 1911's work better then a Kimber.. Maybe too tight tolerances in those guns?

Well I bought this mag with high hopes, I'll admit. Got out to my favorite shooting spot and loaded it up with some 230gr HP's and was ready to rock and roll! Chambered a round fired it, FTL. Chambered another round, fired it, FTL. Repeated for 30 rounds. Put my Chip mag in fired 8 shots without a hitch. Put my Colt mag in and fired 7 rounds without a hitch. Put my generic mag in and fired 7 rounds without a hitch. Tried this mag again and every round FTL. It now occupies a drawer in my reloading room. First and last promag I'll ever buy.

This mag jams every time ...

This mag jams every time when I shoot rounds with brass casings through my kimber warrior, it does load aluminum casings about 75% of the time. I should have just got a couple 7 round kimpro mags, but it does raise a lot of eyebrows at the range, until it fails to load.

Nice looking, solid magazine. I needed to open up the slot where the magazine release catch fits to get it to lock up in my 1911s (I tried it in three). Then I had to polish the sides with 220 grit sand paper for quite awhile until it would come out of the grip frame without needing help from two men and a small boy. After all that, it works fine. Mine does hold 15 rounds as advertised.

This magazine is a "JAM-O-MATIC". I've never been able to shoot this magazine without it jamming my KIMBER Custom II two or three times when trying to 'empty' the magazine. If you want a high capacity 1911 magazine, save your money and buy a more expensive Wilson Combat or such. This Pro-Mag 1911 15rd magazine is junk.

This is one of the only extended mags that actually work in a .45. I use mine in a Mech-tech kit and have never had any problems with this mag.

I purchased this item along with a couple of Chip McCormick mags. This magazine looks great, will not feed my ss1911 correctly as it will never feed rounds into the feeding ramp. After 2 rounds my pistol will jam, with the round pointing downwards. I will be returning this item.
