Stripped metal

This tool worked great right up until I applied 35 pounds of tourque to the wrench. I'd read the other reviews, watched lots of videos, and took my time, and still one of the studs on the wrench stripped in half. The rest of the tool works just fine, but with metal this soft, I don't expect it to last very long.

Not a big fan

When using the AR-Stoner Multi-Tool, I was surprised to learn how soft the metal was, and the quality left a lot to be desired. The butt stock tool was not very precise and slipped off the nut while tightening the recoil spring tube to the lower end. The other areas of the tool are also not of good quality either such as the torque wrench receiving hole. I would suggest looking for other options.

Why All These Negative Reviews?

I've used mine for a few years and have built/repaired several AR-15's with it. Some of my shooting friends come over to the shop and use it also.
So, I must agree with Daniel from Orlando, if you don't understand the proper use of common hand tools and use the correct holding fixtures, then perhaps you should take your project to a good gunsmith. I say this because there is nothing wrong with the design and quality of this tool.

Should have read more of the reviews. Slipped off the barrel nut with minimal pressure. Tool was damaged after 2nd attempt - one of the posts sheared. Tool is now in trash wear it belongs.

Used this tool to install a free float hand guard. I have read many negative reviews on this tool. Worked perfectly for me. I experienced non of the other problem posted in other reviews. If you don't have an understanding of working with basic hand tools, don't buy this and take your gun to someone that does. Great tool.

The overall size and weight are comfortable in my hand. Gripping the tool with mechanics gloves offers excellent control. I have used thinner tools that cramped my fingers while under pressure. Mine came painted in black and used a little paint remover to remove paint around high torque areas. A must have item in your AR grab bag.

Borrowed the unit from a friend to install single-point sling mount under the castle nut on my bushmaster. Very glad I didn't spend my money on such a useless hunk of steel. Tolerances are no-where near spec. Pegs are soft, powder coating creates the effect of it being coated in oil.

This wrench is very ...

This wrench is very solidly built, it probably weighs close to 2 pounds. The steel is 3/8" to 1/2" thick, and WILL NOT BEND. It fits tightly onto my Rock River LAR-15, and it's done every task with ease, including taking off the muzzle brake and barrel nut. I have not taken off the crown nut yet, but I don't doubt that this tool will tackle the job easily. This is definitely the best quality you can get for your dollar.
