I have owned this scope for a few years and I have it mounted on my Cva 150 Mag Muzzle loader. It has a circle and cross hair. The circle is supposed to represent an average size deer at 75 yards. If you place the top of the circle on the deers back and you can see the chest area touching the bottom of the circle this represents 75 yard give or take a couple. I have used my range finder then used the Tasco Bantam and the scope was just about on: I normally now just rely on my scope as a range finder when hunting with black powder and I find this to be close enough, I make my shots accordingly. Gives me enough info on approx. distance. You can cut out a circle the approx. size of a deer top to bottom Measure out 75 yrds and using your scope you can get a good Idea how close or far the target is. Worked for me and I have good hits at different ranges to prove it; Yes I would recommend to a friend; I have shot deer 125 yrds using this scope, and verified later using range finder. and knowing my external ballistics for a certain load I know approx. with in a 1inch or 2 over hold sight in etc. Practice and you will find this Scope to be the only one you will need to your BP or shotgun.

I generally like the Tasco scopes. I bought 3 of these. Understand, the field of view is smaller than other scopes of this magnification.

I ordered this scope because of my satisfaction with a Tasco 2.5 X 20 Bantam that I mounted on a Taurus pump .22 magnum. The 1.5 - 4.5 X 32 has the same "circle plex" reticle which helps me get on target fast. The 1.5 - 4.5 X 32 does not have as much eye relief as the 2.5 X 20, but is enough for mounting on a receiver. The 2.5 X 20 was mounted on the barrel ahead of the receiver. The 1.5 - 4.5 X 32 is a very good value for the cost. I would like to see the 2.5 X 20 Bantam also offered. I would like to have a couple of those for future use.

Purchased to use on a Henry lever action 22. Great clarity, the reticle is excellent. Had Problems in zeroing the rifle with this scope--then I realized that the turret directions were wrong. Up moves the point of impact down, and Left moves the point of impact right. Must be a bad batch. Still, decided not to bother sending it back because it is inexpensive and works great for what I want it for.

These low priced shotgun ...

These low priced shotgun scopes seem to hold up very well. I first mounted one on a Excalibur Exomag 200lb.crossbow, and later another on a 225lb. Exomax. These big recurve crossbows are capable of turning some decent scopes into junk fairly quick (don't ask). Anyways both are holding up fine after hundreds of shots with both crossbows. The pro shot reticle allows for multiple aiming spots. Where the verticle post narrows and the circle intersects the the narrow verticle post. 5 aiming spots in all which is nice for a crossbow or slow heavy rounds. Adjustments have been spot on. Shooting from a bench at 25 yards a full rotation of the turret gave approx. 3 inch movement in elevation and windage. Decent clarity for a scope in this price range also. No problems with eye relief or position to get a full field of view. I did notice the second scope I purchased had a finger adjustable bar, the first one had coin type adjustments other than that their the same. Also I recieved a $10.00 mail in rebate on each scope. Usually you get what you pay for in scopes, I think you get a little more in this scope. I wouldn't hesitate putting one on a hard kicker.

I bought the scope to mount on my 11 year old's Mini-30. The scope is crisp, and has no appreciable change in impact between powers. I was able to take a 46 lb coyote at a measured 310 yards on 4.5 power;with a little squinting. This was an excellent value for the money; I may order another for my Mini -14!The circle x reticle is very good in the Maine woods, with quick aquisition of moving targets on 1.5 power.

Currently mounted on a .50 cal muzzleleoader, it seems to hold zero after frequent range use and banging around in my truck bed. Optics are clear, adjustments are not super precise, but what do you want for less than $40? I am buying another for my 20 gauge rifled shotgun.
