These lightweight, aluminum rings are designed for use with Weaver-Style mounts that measure over .850" across and are sure to make your firearm more attractive while offering the most secure performance available. The Magnum 2-Ring Sets are designed to handle the recoil of smaller caliber magnums (357 and 44), while the Magnum 3-Ring sets are designed for the largest handgun calibers (454 Casull and up).

CHOOSING RINGS: Ring height is determined by measuring the outside objective (bell) diameter on your scope. If you aren't sure which rings will suit your needs, please refer to the Ring Height Application Chart.

Ring Height: .225" (measured from base of ring to bottom of scope tube)

Notes:

Locking system used on these rings was designed for use with Weaver-Style mounts measuring over .850" across the points.

Rings are .500" wide versus the .375" of the standard "Non-Magnum" Weigand rings.

Weigand recommends using 3 rings if you are mounting a scope to any firearm that is of a magnum caliber.

Great set of rings. Only ...

Great set of rings. Only problem is the friction tape. On a hard kicking handgun the tape caused the scope to slip. After removing the tape and using rosin for grip no troubles at all.

Ditto on the friction ...

Ditto on the friction tape! The instructions say to be sure and use it. Not a good idea. Cleaning with alcohol and applying powdered rosin from bowling alley or sporting goods store is the way to go. 5 stars on the rings, change the instructions!

These rings are great ...

These rings are great looking and perform great under heavy recoil. I also used rosin NOT the "grip tape". I bought 2 of these. The 1st one I mounted on a S&W Performance Center 500 Mag. with a scope that had a 32mm objective lens and everything went and works just fine. The 2nd one I mounted on a S&W Performance Center 460 Mag., using the same combination of rings and scope. This is when I realized that the guns are different. The barrel rib in the 500 Mag. is cut out between the built in scope mount and the front sight ramp and the 460 is NOT. The objective end of the scope clears the barrel on the 500 Mag., but the rings are not tall enough to allow the objective end of the scope to clear the barrel on the 460 Mag. I had to send the 2nd set of rings back and order a different brand of rings that were taller, to get the objective end of the scope to clear the barrel on the 460 Mag. If you order these rings for use on a S&W Performance Center 460 Mag., be sure you know what scope you plan on using, and do the ring height math based on the minimum clearance needed.

After reading the ...

After reading the previous post's I gave these rings a try, using the Rosin idea. I would have never thought to put three rings on a scope, but it looks great. I have fired 50+ heavy magnum loads through my S&W 500 with no scope movement and the whole package looks great, Weigand Rings and base, holding a Simmon's Prohunter 2-6 powered scope, all from MidwayUSA.
