Product Information

This Power Speed is a polymer and steel modular holster that is truly universal. Easily assembled for right or left hand use and adjusts to fit virtually any semi-auto handgun with its unique locking mechanism. It also has three lock settings, full locked, semi locked and full race. It comes with two belt mounts, dropped competition style and a high rise style fully adjustable for angle and cant with an exclusive belt locking and adjustment system.

This is a great holster ...

This is a great holster for Glocks and slab sided guns. The gun slides have to be long enough for the magnets to hold unto for heavy 1911 guns, and it really helps to add 1 or 2 more magnets that Hogue will send you and the front sight hood. I just kept the magnets on and have used this holster for USPSA competition for the last 12 years and have NEVER DROPPED A GUN. It works for a Glock 35, SA 1911, Browning Buckmark, HK USP, and a Browning HP. You will need to practice to be proficient and safe but I like how the draw is consistent from gun to gun. Can I afford a Ghost or a fancier holster, yes but I don't need to. My reason for continuing to use it is that it works, locks my gun up solid. A friend once bumped my gun hard, rocked my HK(why I use the hood for that) but the holster kept it. I will admit I dropped my 1911 once during a NRA Action Pistol match. It was unloaded and my fault and unlocked. I make it reflex to lock after the ULSC and check it frequently as you wait.

It took some tinkering to ...

It took some tinkering to get it to work with my SA 1911-A1 with an EOTech sight, but it works great. I made a harness for chest carry, which I really like for comfort and speed. I trust it completely to not lose my gun while riding an off-road motorcycle or running after perps.

Initial adjustment was a bit time consuming, but well worth the effort. Excellent design, this is the fastest holster I have ever used. Only negative note: be careful that magnets do not protrude or the slide on your pistol will get scratched! (probably only an issue if you convert to left handed)

Typical uncle mike ...

Typical uncle mike quality, servicable but not spectacular. Way too much for quality level, Spent awhile adjusting for a Para 1640 and ended up with the disturbing habit of launching the gun forward on the ground, I use a straight up draw, I assume if you use an up down up draw holster would probably be ok, Anyway fastest shooter I have seen hits first shot A zones in .87 I shoot in 1.1 from a old Galco training holster figure even if I get as good $100 for a .23 second improvement not really worth it I returned it and bought ammo.

I use the PowerSpeed with a Glock and a Browning Hi-Power and love it more each time I use it. It absolutely retains the gun but is the fastest I have ever used.

This holster is HORRIBLE. ...

This holster is HORRIBLE. DO NOT BUY THIS HOLSTER! Does not properly secure weapon. Awkward drawning angle (it's adjustable, but the angles that you can adjust it to are not comfortable to a shooters natural draw angle). The washers that are supposed to keep the screws from gouging the plastic are too flimsy and are not wide enough or thick enough. The bolts end up gouging the plastic causing the washers to bend into the plastic making the bolt angle improperly while tightening. I spent hours trying to get this holster to work properly with different weapons, a true nightmare that does not work as advertised, not even close. Would make a great paper weight. Midways customer support was very helpful in assisting me with the return.

Holds a regular 45 fairly ...

Holds a regular 45 fairly well after time consuming adjustment phase. WILL NOT HOLD SS guns well, and dropped my $2200 race gun in the mud, COCKED. RO nearly FAINTED, and I crawled back to the shed to have Range Director take a look and we determined this holster is junk. After getting home from that match, which I sat out after the drop, I managed to get it assembled to hold a regular 45.. But it DROPPED that one too with a slight forward lean, and stomp the foot. The thing just won't hold. I got a Safari 011 now, and feel much safer.
