Product Information

Nosler Ballistic Tip Hunting bullets have been trusted by hunters for nearly 25 years. They are precision made and individually inspected for the utmost quality which translates to incredible accuracy with every shot. The heavy jacket base prevents bullet deformation during firing and holds together at extreme velocities as well as a polycarbonate tip that resists deformation in the magazine and initiates expansion upon impact. The bullet's mid-section keeps it together at any velocity until impact, and a uniform, pure lead core eliminates possible imbalance and erratic flight caused by air pockets. Great for thin-skinned game like deer, antelope and sheep. This is not loaded ammunition.

For some reason Midway has listed this bullet's BC as .195. It is actually .417 and shows it. This is THE perfect weight for a lightweight 7mm mauser. It has great accuracy and still produces good velocity out of a 20" barrel. With no recoil and fast follow up shots this bullet should be a great close cover deer bullet.

I've tried just about every light bullet for the .284 dia (7mm) I could ever get my hands on. And these are worse than the Hornady VMax 120 grain could dare to be. I shot exactly 3 deer with these and decided I wasn't having a M80 hitting deer. My Ruger M77 Mk2 shot tight groups with this bullet but the bullet went to peices inside the deer, and ruined a lot of meat. I almost lost a little buck due to the fact it was a head on shot and the bullet hit the chest and went in and went to pieces and the entrance hole was something you'd expect from a groundhog round. The buck ran about half a mile before it was finished off with a Sierra Pro Hunter 120 grain to make up for this bullet's mess up. I thought maybe it was a fluke or a rareity so I gave them two more chances on does. You're going to need a metal detector when you skin them to make sure there's not shrapnel in the meat. Save your time, and money and the animal's misery and use Sierra Pro Hunter's 120 grain. You won't regret Sierra but you will regret these.

First I would like to thank Nosler for continuing to produce the finest bullets on the market and Midway for supplying those bullets at a decent price. Im shooting the 120 grain ballistic tip over reloader 22 at 3400 fps, the accuracy is incredible, 3 shot, 1/2 groups at 100 yards. That's with a 24 inch light taper barrel on an interarms mark x. I would however, like to say that I would never use a bullet this light or at this velocity at deer sized game! This is my varmint load for rock chuck and it will vaporize them, its also my coyote load for those way out there dogs that the 223 wont reach. but forget the fur as it will make a mess out of those song dogs.

I just tried these with H4895 in my 7-08. Cover 3 shot group with a nickel at 100 yds. Haven't had a chance to try them on game yet.

I bought this bullet for my new T/C venture in 7mm-08. I chose this bullet because of its high ballistic co. I worked up a load using Varget. After dialing in this load I could consistently shot 1/2" 3 shot groups at 100 yards. Not bad for a 500 rifle. Once dialed in I shot a 3/4" group at 225 yards, 1.25" group at 335 yards, and get this a .642 group at 445 yards. I couldn't believe it but had a brand new 4'x4' backer behind the 12" sight in target. I then shot a 5" group at 550 yards and a 6.5" group at 650 Yards. Very impressed with this bullet.

Have loaded this for my wife in her 7mm-08 Ackley Improved for the past two seasons. This bullet flat puts the deer down. Wife says it looks like the shots on TV, the deer fall down so fast. This is by far the most accurate bullet in this gun -shooting consistently around 1" or less. A great deer bullet for the 7mm-08.

Very accurate bullet but does not perform as well on game as I would like. Shoot lighter bullets for less recoil for smaller frame kids, 7mm-08 Bullet expands too much and I have not obtained pass throughs- vital in trailing in the country I hunt. Even at ranges of 50 to 75 yds the bullet does not pass through. Velocity is mild at about 2700. Love the bullet just wish it was a little tougher.

Purchased my 7mm-08 last year and purchased these bullets. To date I have killed 1 doe and 3 hogs all one shot kills. Furthest shot was 185 yards on a 200lb sow. All shots where over 100 yards all resulting in immediate kills. Bullet held together and exited everytime. Loaded some for my father and he has had the same results.

I don't know how anyone could not like this bullet, out west we shoot big game not those little eastern whitetails. My niece has used this bullet for years in her 7mm-08 @ 3000 fps with Varget and CCI primers. She has killed as many elk as anyone else in the family and we kill a lot!! Nosler bullets are just that much better!!!

Fairly good shooting bullet in my picky 7-08 sitting above 50 grains of Big Game. 3,000 fps chronoed average in 3 different 10 shot strings. Use this load to thin the coyote population on the farm I hunt. Deadly out to a max range for me of 400 yards. Going to give it a whirl come this youth season for a neighbors kid. Will update at a later time.

Using this bullet in a ...

Using this bullet in a 7mm Rem mag at 3240 fps getting great accuracy, but thats were the good part ends. Having killed five whitetails with it this season with unpredictable terminal results. Only had one pass thru out of the five, all being under 80 yards. Frontal chest at 20 yards didnt make it to the diaphragm. Broadside, blew up on contact with little penetration. Almost lost my biggest buck to date- shot it lying down facing away in the back behind the shoulder blades resulting in an orange size chunk of backstrap blown out but failing to enter the chest cavity. Shot it again running away at base of neck and had three exit wounds. Very fragile bullet for high velocity.
