The Hornady Muzzleloading Low Drag Sabot is designed to be easier to load. The sabots are loaded with Hornady's SST Bullets which achieve controlled expansion with less fragmentation, delivering better penetration, higher retained weight and improved long range performance. Designed for use in black powder muzzleloading rifles.

I finally got to shoot these out of my tc pro hunter xt and they load super easy. Make sure your barrel is clean first. Best bullet on the market, hand loads easy and very brutal on deer.

I bought these for my tc pro hunter xt. They were a little bit hard to load but my barrel was brand new. Once I cleaned it these slide down as easy as power belts. I can't wait to shoot a deer with them.

I shoot a cva optima with ...

I shoot a cva optima with a hi-lux leatherwood scope and bh209. Last year I shot these in the 300 gn with Remington sts primers. I had about 1 inch groups at 100 yds and 3 inch groups at 150. I shot 2 deer, one at 110 yd and the other at 160. Both perfect shots, but both deer went about 100 yds with no blood for the first 40 yards or so. The internal damage was great though. I think it was too heavy of a bullet for the powder charge I was using. This year I got the bh209 breech plug so I could experiment with other primers and bullet weight... Shot these 250 gn bullets today with the same primers( rem sts) and bh209. I have a 1 inch group at 100 and can hold them in a 4 inch ring at 200! I believe by playing with other primers I can do even better. And with the lighter bullet on deer I think it will be a great combo for me. Best shooting bullet I have found yet!! I really wanted to try the Barnes t-ez, but can't get them to shoot anything like the Hornady bullets! My dad shoots a traditions vortec and they shoot the best for him too. Very accurate bullet!!!

After using Powerbelts ...

After using Powerbelts and not getting the results on game that I was expecting I switched to these. Shot a doe at 30 yards yesterday with 100 grains of powder behind it. Pass through double lung shot, deer flipped over on its back without taking a step. Expected to find that I got into the spine but when I field dressed it I found that it was a clean through the ribs shot without hitting the spine. Devastating hit. I will definitely continue using these bullets.

I shoot a CVA Wolf 50 cal. I was having problems with accuracy until I switched to the SST 250 with Triple 7. Now I'm shooting 2 1/2 " groups at 100 yards. Yesterday I shot a buck at 117 yds, it ran 20 yards and dropped. The lungs were turned to jelly with no pass through.

My deer combo=a dead deer ...

My deer combo=a dead deer with a quarter size exit hole within 50 yards. My Vortex 50 caliber will put every round in a quarter size hole at 75 yards. This bullet will scramble the insides of a deer and shoots very flat to 300 yards.I will never shoot anything else.

Perfect bullet for me. Easy loading. T/C omega 25 acp breech, loose triple 7, matches my Nikon Omega scope perfectly out to 250 yards. Nice buck 90 yards, pass through, destroyed the lungs. Same load T/C Impact 209 primer, Bushnell Trophy DOA 250. Buck at 153 yards, right through the heart, and shot by a GIRL LOL. Only bullet I hunt with.

I have used these bullets out of an Encore PRO-HUNTER for 3 years. They load easy and shoot well. I get 1- 1.5 '' groups at 100 yds. Have killed 10 deer with this bullet, only 2 went more than 50 yards. All were lung/heart shots. Shot distace varied from 20 yds to 125ish yds. 4 star review instead of 5 because I have found bullets out of a snow bank that were completely seperated, but maybe I am being too picky.

I have a Optima Pro 50 cal and just put a scope on it. First bullets I ever shot in the new gun were these SST low drag sabots and I am extremely impressed. I am using 90 gr of Blackhorn Powder and can say 1-1/2" groups at 100 yards are showing up.
