The Vortex Viper PST (Precision Shooting Tactical) Rifle Scope comes with features that are typically only included on scopes in a much higher price range. The optics are fully multi-coated and deliver beautiful detail and color while transmitting 95% of available light. The tactical turrets have audible clicks which allow for precise adjustments to windage and elevation and the tube is purged with Argon gas to eliminate internal fogging and extend the life of the optics. Protective lens covers and a lifetime factory warranty are included.

I purchased this scope to go on top of my .308 Remington 700. I expected a great piece of equipment to show up at my door based off all of the reviews I had read. This optic completely blew away all expectations I had. I have a Leupold Mark 4 mounted atop another rifle that now looks and feels like a cheap piece of junk compared to the Vortex. The clarity is amazing to say the least. The reticle subtensions are perfectly sized and square with zero cant. The adjustment knobs have a positive detent and the zero stop function is great and works the way it should. The elevation turret and zoom have a fiber optic rod for indexing which is not only a great visual reference but a tactile one as well. The parallax adjustment works as designed and is easy to see and adjust without breaking cheek weld. The turret adjustments are precise and shooting a test "box" with clicks is on the money. The illumination is crisp in the dark as well as crisp and visible when on full power even in midday Florida sun. An amazing piece of equipment. All of my optics will be Vortex for now on. The Mark 4 will also be being replaced. The people who handled it at the range also preferred it and thought it was a better optic than the Nightforces and U.S. Optics they were using.

This was the first generation of the PST scope. The first one I received had an imperfection in one of the internal lenses. I called Vortex and a new scope and return package for the old one were shipped that same day! The new scope arrived and was in perfect condition. I have two of these scopes, both identical. The glass is very clear, the reticle is great (MOA), the controls are great. Overall, this scope is a steal at the list price. I highly recommend not only this scope, but Vortex as a company, their customer service is first class.
