In any caliber, this is a good, affordable basic cleaning kit for a new handgun owner, or will serve well as an auxiliary cleaning kit to keep in your range bag. It can be readily (and cheaply) expanded to other calibers simply by buying extra bore brushes. (Note: do not attempt to use the Kleen-Bore slotted jag on a .22-cal bore with full-size patches, as it will get stuck; cut the patches in half, or buy an extra .22-cal slotted jag.)The disadvantage the Kleen-Bore kit has compared to the equivalent product form Hoppe's is that the Kleen-Bore doesn't come with dedicated solvent, only with CLP; on the upside, it does come with a Kleen-Bore silicone cloth, which is wonderful for giving your weapon a wipe down after handling.
