Great accurate clean HBWC ...

Great accurate clean HBWC bullets at a decent price. They do not use sticky waxy lube like others which make them a lot easier to store, handle, and load. They do smoke a little, as do pretty much all lead bullets, primarily due to the lube, but there is no waxy gunky lube to gunk up reloading dies. They are accurate, and consistent. The alloy is not too soft, not too hard, just right for their purpose. KEEP IN MIND THESE ARE FOR TARGET SHOOTING/PLINKING ONLY, AND SHOULD NOT BE USED AS A DEFENSIVE/CARRY BULLET!!!!!

I have been buying these from Midway for years, and have never had a single problem. Very accurate 38 cal. out to 50 yards with a light load of Bullseye, far more accurate than I am at 25. I use these for practice in a S&W 686, but love to use them when teaching responsible children and women to shoot for the first time. The transition from 22 to this 38 is very comfortable for them, lowering any fear of recoil to nearly nothing. They can shoot plenty of rounds without breaking the bank, or fouling the barrel. When they're finished, I let them shoot 6 jacketed rounds to clean the barrel, to get the feel of a little more powerful round. Always a successful day at the range. Like Frito's, I shoot them all, Hornady will make more.

They shoot OK, just like other brands of HB WC. They work well with 357 Mag cases with B.E.I shoot 1.5 inch groups with my S&W 686 with a Ultradot sight. They are a fun, light round to shoot, and are very accurate. To clean up your barrel from any leading shoot some 357 mags through your gun. Be safe and enjoy.

I've used these bullets for over 15 years and have made the governors 20 with them.I wouldn't use anything else for practice or matches, and as far as leading I only run a patch down the barrel and have stayed in the x ring for thousands of rounds....

I would like a lead ...

I would like a lead bullet because of cost over copper jacketed and I think they are easier on the barrel but I wonder if I'm doing more damage cleaning the lead out. I've tried different cast bullets all claiming not to lead the barrel, but most all of the time there was some leading, sometimes a lot of leading. I would even try very light loads but still leading. I shot 51 rounds of these today Bullseye and so far they are the best.

My Father and I have used ...

My Father and I have used these for many, many years...maybe even longer. Usually loaded with Unique, either Strait up , for punching paper or reversed for home defense, fired from a number of different sidearms. We have always found them to perform consistently. The only drawback we have found is the messy lube. But we found giving them a light tumble in a terry cloth towel helps cut down dust.

As a 38 special Bullseye ...

As a 38 special Bullseye load, it is a very accurate bullet. Powder lube leaves barrel clean to the point that I have shot 300 rds. between cleanings and barrel still looks good, No leading. Cuts clean holes in paper. I don't use anything else.
