Tried Brown and Silver ...

Tried Brown and Silver Bear in my mini-30, it loves it. I was surprised, after 15 yrs. I've finally found something this gun will eat without paying $20+ for a box of shells. Before only Winchester and Remington would eject without receiver catching cases before ejected. I bought over 250 of these hot shooting shells! Wish it was reloadable.

For all you AR shooters ...

For all you AR shooters out there, this is good ammo, if you are using a standard or extra power hammer spring and a standard weight hammer. The primers on all this russian ammo are a little harder than domestic ammo, and it takes a good hard first strike to get it to go off. Second and third tries usually don't set off the rounds. If you have a standard hammer and spring, this will function 99.9% of the time, and is pretty accurate. Expect 2-3 inch groups at 100 yards, and man size groups at 300. Yes 300, this stuff will carry that far pretty well. Its fun to shoot an AR on steel plates with this round. Again, if you are using a light hammer spring or a light hammer, you will get ftf from this or any Russian ammo. Also this bullet, even being bimetal, expands well and does not destroy the skins of coyotes. Stock up on this ammo, the prices are going up across the board.

This type of ammo shoots good with my Russian sks plus the price is fair and I can not find this ammo in my town or anywhere else. So my best friend referred Midway to me.

Not what your looking for ...

Not what your looking for if you use an AR, feeds ok out of a C-Prod Mag. 10/40 FTF (Fail to Fire) with clean primer strikes, even cycle them a second time. The ones that did fire were kinda smokey and recoil was in-consistent.

Just fired 80 rounds ...

Just fired 80 rounds through my SKS. Experienced two failure to feeds. On the second, I noticed the soft point had deformed as the round was being fed into the chamber. Seems to perform well enough otherwise.

Terminal ballistics for ...

Terminal ballistics for this soft point seem to act more like a hunting round. The Ball and hollow point versions do not really seem to upset on impact as do the faster .223 ball or hollow points do. The soft point seems to upset fairly rapidly and probably can be used to hunt the same size animals as can responsibly be hunted with the 30-30 class round.I gave it 4 stars only because it is not practically re-loadable.

Very good ammo. my CZ 527 carbine shoots extremely well with this ammo. I had two one shot kills on whitetail deer last fall. I highly recommend this ammo.

Functions flawlessly in ...

Functions flawlessly in my WASR10-Romanian. Used it in a 75-rounder (get one NOW!) and the original 30-rounders. 5-rounds touching at 25-yards from a rest. Recommended by G&A's AK47 issue for its terminal ballistics. Reliable, accurate, & effective? This will be all that goes through my rifle. Get a couple boxes to test functionality & then STOCK-UP for the zombie-attack!

Seems to be good stuff. ...

Seems to be good stuff. I've run through a fair amount of it with no problems of any kind so far. Though the soft point is a little more expensive it seems to have much better terminal performance.
