These non-corrosive, all weather primers deliver fast, dependable ignition under any shooting condition. Primers are constantly and rigorously tested for consistency and sensitivity at temperatures and conditions far beyond the range of normal usage. Most Helpful Positive Review

For years I used RWS 5341 ...

For years I used RWS 5341 primers. Then they became unavailable. I also had load and performance data for Federal 210's. They were my second choice. Then they disappeared for a while and I was forced to look elsewhere. The Winchester #8-1/2 case large rifle primers were an incredible (and pleasant) surprise. They actually provided tighter groups than the Feds, and probably as tight as the RWS 5341's. They load easily, perform every time, and the results are incredible. I will stay with the Winchester LR primers from now on. Excellent!

1. They always go bang, and have a hard cup. 2. They tend to be oversized and can lend to lose primers in the pockets. EX. I just measures my WSR's and they avg 0.1740" diameter. SAAMI spec is 0.1750", so these fit loose an can fall out upon firing.

I use these in the 30-06 and they work great. I have never even had a hangfire. great consistent primers. Also, I always load at the maximum end of the spectrum for velocity.

I recently got into reloading as well and these have worked every time. I have loaded about 350 rounds and they have all gone bang! I would recommend these to anyone. I have also used CCI primers and had misfires with them. It's not always $$$ is better.

This primer is just ...

This primer is just awesome! It is absolutely perfect for the Northern Shooter. It handles my Reloder 15 exceptionally well and delivers better accuracy than CCIBR or FED 210M. While I would not recommend this primer for high temp. environments, it is perfect for low 80's temps and below. With good match loads you will obtain the 1 F.P.S. per degree of Temp. predictability with this primer. For you .308 shooters: Try IMR 4064, RL-15, or a Western Powder of your choice. You will not be disappointed.

I have used most of the primers on the market over the last 3 years and I keep coming back to these. They work every time you pull the trigger and shoot as tight or tighter then CCI, FED, and REM primers. I use both the #8-1/2 and the 8-1/2M. I think I will stick with these this time just bought 5,000 of each. Save yourself a lot of trouble and buy in bulk so that you can do as I do and just flat shoot. Thats what these primers do they just flat shoot.

Being new to reloading I ...

Being new to reloading I thought I would try these out. So far they have worked great without any misfires. I am using them to make 30-06 for my M1 Garand. I did find that I had to ream the pocket out after removing the military crimp to make these fit better. Before reaming they would not go in very well. I am just a casual shooter, so I don't know what benefit they give in terms of accuracy, but for my needs they work great. Happy reloading!

I loaded exactly 100 of ...

I loaded exactly 100 of these into Winchester casings in .308 for my Kimber tactical. 155gr Amax moly and 180 gr sst and surprisingly the 180s shot better than the 155s. Only 1 dud for a whole day of shooting. Pretty easy to seat. Shooting 180 gr sst with IMR4895 I got sub 1/2 at 100 yds chrono 10 ft from muzzle 2574. Not as fast as I would have liked but still good.

I have used these and the cci and the 210m the win are just a bit hotter than the 210m.I chrono the rounds and there is a 10 to 15 feet per sec difference in the rounds. that is as close as the 210m are, the win are hotter.All 4 rounds at 100 yards are in a dime size hole.they work

These primers are as good ...

These primers are as good if not better than Federal Gold Match Primers. I have done extensive testing comparing the same loads with each primer and can find no difference between these and the more expensive Federal primers. Velocity, accuracy, and extreme speed are the same with three different calibers tested.
