Supreme Platinum Tip high performance handgun hunting ammunition features a patented, thick wall reverse-taper jacket design, the bullet's lead core is notched and a two-part hollow point cavity delivers superior accuracy, uniform bullet expansion and weight retention. Exceptional hunting loads, they have proven to be the most accurate load in my 6" N-Frame S&W. The have recovered two and both expanded and looked very similar to the photo on the box with the open "petals" folded further back than in the photo. I had no way to exactly measure penetration but it seemed to perform as claimed. This load should perform well on any game up to elk size as Winchester indicates. To me, it would seem that this load would perform on elk if you choose your shot wisely.

This load produced 3 inch 25 yard groups from my Taurus Tracker 425 compared to 1 1/2 inch groups from Speer 210 gr. Gold Dots. It also failed to cycle my Desert Eagle reliably, a problem I've also encountered with 170 and 175 gr loads but never with 210 gr loads from any maker. I'm sure the terminal performance is impressive, but I can only give these loads three stars due to the lesser accuracy in my Taurus and the lack of reliability in my Desert Eagle. For now I'll be sticking with Gold Dots as the top performer for my .41 mags.

This is the only ammo I ...

This is the only ammo I will shoot out of my S&W. These are by far one of the best factory rounds for the 41 mag. I can shoot groups under a inch and a half at 50 yds. With iron sights. I took a buck this year with them and all I can say is they done the job. He dropped where he stood. During field dressing, his vitals looked like they had been ran through a meat grinder, and the shot was a complete pass-through at 78 yds. If you are looking for a complete package for hunting and protection, then don't wait....buy these, you won't regret it!

I have been using this ...

I have been using this load since they came out and I love em. I was using Win. Super-X 175gr, but these turned my Super Blackhawk hunter into a whole different animal. I can get 3inch groups at 100yds off bags with calm wind. I have taken a hog, a doe and a Texas dalls sheep with these from 25yds to 70yds. ALL were one shot kills and you would not know they were shot with anything less than a large rifle. All broadside pass thru shots very good blood trails, just wish they were easier to find!

I recently bought a S&W M57 and took a box of everything I could find to the range to see what shot the best in this gun. The 240-gr. Winchester Platinum Tips all went into one small jagged hole until the ammo was all gone. I was impressed. This is what's going hunting with me this winter.

Recently purchased 7.5" ...

Recently purchased 7.5" Smith 657 and tried a few different loads This was the most accurate off a bench. Same hole at 25 yards. I shot my first whitetail deer with it this weekend, 46 yards, completely through both shoulders leaving a big hole and a lot of blood, deer made it about 30 yards.

I took 5 types of ammo to ...

I took 5 types of ammo to the range to see which one shot the best out of my Taurus 415.This stuff shot about a one-inch group, to point of aim, out of a revolver with fixed sights and 2 1/2" barrel.It was the most accurate, by far, of the ammunition I tested. Excellent ammo.
