I have a Colt 1911A1 that is bone stock. I purchased it this year ('03) and it feeds these without any major problems.The only problem I have is every now and then, I get a round that half feeds. It seems to get beached on the top of the feed ramp. But I suspect this is more an issue with my magazine spring being too soft or something else. It doesn't happen too often and seems to only get bad when I shoot American Eagles which powder foul the weapon to no end.Accuracy is just fine for cheap ammo. I can bullzeye 20oz soda bottles all day at 25 yards.I think it boils down to the individual weapon. But the smart shooter knows that already : )I'd reccomend this to anyone. They are very affordable practice ammo. And the shells reload nicely.

I was using Blazer FMJ 230 gr. in my Ruger P345 almost exclusively since purchasing it about a year ago, and never had an issue with FTF or cleaning. Tried this ammo recently, and also some Fiocchi, and had a hard time cleaning the residue off the feed ramp, in the bore, and on the muzzle. Tried just the Winchester the last time, and after two magazines, started having feeding problems with the round hanging up as the nose entered the chamber. A quick field stripping showed a lot of fouling in the bore. Continued to have feeding failures for the next ~50 rounds, then stopped shooting the .45. I'll need to get some heavier duty cleaner as I still can't get all of the residue and discoloration out of the bore and the slide muzzle. Never realized how much cleaner the Blazer ammo was until trying this Winchester ammo. Very disappointed.

Very accurate in my ...

Very accurate in my Springfield 1911. No FTF's, no flyers. I did notice it's a bit dirty, but cleans up easily. Very little flash, which is a plus at an indoor range. Overall, it's consistent in both accuracy and reliability.

Glock 21 & SIG P220: ...

Glock 21 & SIG P220: Using this ammunition in both a Glock 21 and a SIG P220 I did not experience a single FTF or FTE. HOWEVER, this is the dirtiest ammunition, by far, that I have ever used! It is so dirty that after only firing 8 rounds from the SIG P220 the outside of the frame from the muzzle back a solid 1-1/2" was coated in grayish white residue! I am extremely disappointed in Winchester. Having been a long time customer of Winchester ammunition, I thought it was safe for me to purchase 500 rounds of this ammunition - WRONG! 'Caveat emptor' - buyer BE WARE.

My Ruger P345 didn't care ...

My Ruger P345 didn't care for this ammo much. After weeks of firing American Eagle flawlessly, I tried this stuff and had 2 failures to feed in 4 magazines. Its also the dirtiest stuff I've ever shot. I mean it makes military ball ammo look clean by comparison. Won't be buying any more. Pretty accurate but the malfunctions concerned me.

First of all - I am a HUGE Winchester fan from the days of old. This is by far the filthiest Ammo I have ever shot with. Did Winchester get a bad batch of powder? Wow - and it's pretty nasty. This is the .45 - I've shot Win WB in other calibers and it was great. Ballistol wouldn't touch the residue, but Amsoil MP and Hoppe's #9 hit it fine. Anyway, it seemed accurate enough, - but I was smoking up the range. Switched over to S&B ($2.50 lower in cost) and it was perfect.

Won a Glock match with ...

Won a Glock match with this ammo in 1993 using a Glock 21. Have won a few since then but never finished below 3rd place, Also use Rem. Both shoot good in my Glock 21 and have never had a failure to feed, fire, or eject.

It went bang ALMOST every ...

It went bang ALMOST every time, but when it did it went straight. Definitely a very accurate round, but smoky even compared to the inexpensive reloads my local range sells. Left deposits on the end of the slide and muzzle that you could wipe off with a finger (no other round I've used has done that). Failed to feed twice in 100, which isn't bad, but I've not had any other type of round jam on me before at all.In short: I was impressed with the accuracy, but I think I'll pass on buying it again in favor of something with a cleaner burn.

This ammo was far more ...

This ammo was far more accurate than the CCI that I have been using for the range; very few if any flyers and even then, they are only out by an inch or less, which is probably my fault. Used this in both a full size Kimber stainless and a Glock 36 with equally good results. Great feed, feel, and accuracy and overall a great range round. The only negative I might mention is that the powder residue was far harder to clean than the other rounds I have been using. It is almost like someone spray paints this residue all over the inside of the gun, but it will come off with a little work, and it is worth it for the added accuracy.

I've been shooting this ...

I've been shooting this ammo for a couple of years now at the range in my tuned Combat Commander. I've had a few FTFeeds's, I think primarily because of weak magazines springs. The ammo is extremely accurate and burns relatively clean. The brass is excellent for reloading. You absolutely can't beat it for practice. Five stars. Great price, too.
