Product is packaged well, ...

Product is packaged well, 5 round boxes tightly in a case. Labeled as military contract, ammunition is premium quality with plastic buffering. Ammunition is full power, patterns well, with minimum deformed shot. Hulls are OD green with black anodized brass which resists corrosion. Excellent ammunition at any price, maybe best 00 buck available. No malfunctions in Remington 1100, 870, and Benelli M1/90. However, Federal 000 buck remains first choice for "serious business".

I think I made the mistake of seeing the words "Military Grade" and having to buy it. Usually when firing 00 buck I have a hard time comparing one brand to another.Not so in this case. It functions, cycles, fires all fine. However its group pattern is abnormally wide even for the 20" cylinder bore Mossberg I'm using. It was wide enough I had to setup some paper targets to compare just to make sure it wasnt in my head. And its not. A good 8-12" wider @ 10-15 yd then some Remington I was comparing it too. I dont know why.My review : Works fine, better out there for better prices.

These shells cycled ...

These shells cycled almost perfectly in my Saiga-12. I had 3 stove pipes out of 90ish rounds today which could be attributed to the Saiga, the drum or who knows even operator error! To the point, the pattern was good and the rounds are consistent so I will be using these as my main shell of choice.

This ammunition is ...

This ammunition is great!!! It shoots very clean, and as imagined, is a powerful load. I have fired about 50 rounds of this shot load through my Mossberg Defender (18.5 inch barrel), and I'm very content with the pattern of this round. Out to about 15 yards, it puts a directed blast approximately the size of a coffee cup plate. Recoil is brisk, but not over-bearing. Very easy to get back on target with a follow-up round. As soon as this 00 buck shot is back in stock, I will certainly be purchasing more both for the range, and as my preferred home defense round in my Mossberg. You'll love this ammunition!! Buy with confidence!!!

FANTASTIC ROUNDS!!! I purchased 25 shells and took them out to the range. I was very impressed with the tight group pattern out to 20 yards, and was surprised that these shells had a more subtle kick than I thought they would have being 00 Buck. Love the performance, and will be purchasing more from Midway. Keep up the great work!!!!

Im a secruity force Marine and we use this same ammo in our M1014.Easy on the shoulder and good pattern at 25 yds. Good for close quarter combat thats it.

This is Military 12GA ...

This is Military 12GA ammo, a guy said that it is military grade (as titled) but this is exactly what I was issued in the Army. This is current production (usually within a year) military ammunition that Winchester is contracted but overran the order. Winchester produces the military shotgun ammo as well as their 9mm Nato and 7.62 Nato ammo. This is just like the Federal 5.56 Nato ammo that they sell when they overrun. It is usually available for a month or two every year but then you wont find it until the next year so stock up while you can. Also to clarify this is issue ammo for the Army but the Marine Corp might use something different, Lake City is an Army Ammunition plant run by Federal and they produce mainly for the Army and I believe the M.C. uses ammo from their own facility so that could possibly explain why that one guy said this isnt what is issued. Last is yes this will attract a magnet on the base however almost all shotgun shells will, most people think they are brass but in reality they are brass plated steel, Winchester, Wolf Remington and others will attract a magnet. However these will not rust without being scratched or damaged in some other way as the steel is brass plated and has a black anodized finish over the brass plating so they would have to be damaged or sit in an extremely moist environment for a very long time before they will rust. Last thing is these will pattern very good if you use the right choke, cylinder bore does not pattern very well though.

Just read the review, from the guy who checked the base with a magnet, which compelled me to check my own shells. First off let me say I have several brands, everything from buckshot to bird-shot. Now comes the kick in the head guys, I only had one type of load (Trap) that did not attract a magnet. Even the buckshot loads from the same brand attracted the magnet. We learn something new everyday.

While "military grade" doesn't always mean military issue, in this case it happens to be EXACTLY what is in use by the military- the same stuff, and it's flawless. Expect a 1" spread per yard from an 18" cylinder bore.

Good shooting round with ...

Good shooting round with decent grouping at self defense ranges. Understand that military grade does not mean military issue; this is NOT what is used in the military. The product at this price is well worth the kick in the shoulder. Not uncontrollable and definitely a great round.

Excellent quality ...

Excellent quality ammunition. Ballistically, it seems identical to the commercial Winchester load. I prefer 12 pellets of 00 buck, but the nine pellet load is easier on the shoulder. OD green hulls and brown boxes are cool.
