The Tactical Trigger Group is a completely self contained, 100% drop-in fire control group upgrade for the AR-15, LR-308 and AR-10 rifles. Building on the original Super Match design, the double patented Tactical Flat Trigger design yeilds truly remarkable and unprecedented trigger control, trigger feel and accuracy, while also the retaining the rugged reliability of a Mil-Spec trigger group. Trigger pull is factory pre-set between 3-1/2 and 4 pounds, and is not user adjustable. Fits all standard Mil-Spec lower receivers with .154" trigger and hammer pin holes.

What a disappointment. This is actually the second one of these units I own. The first I've owned for over 5 years and it has seen just under 5,000 rounds in that time. I'm not sure what changes CMC introduced, but the old unit is vastly superior to the new one. The internals have clearly been redesigned (hammers are completely different, triggers are hard to see but appear to have differences, disconnectors look the same).There is no comparison in terms of how the triggers feel. Old unit has zero creep and breaks like an icicle. The new one is quite creepy. Pull weight is comparable - new trigger is about 1/4 lb. heavier but I attribute that to the age and use of the older unit's springs. The new unit does break cleanly, but the creep really detracts from that. I ordered this expecting the same quality as my older unit. Unfortunately, I do not feel like they're the same product. Bottom line: still vastly superior to what you'll get from most factory-installed single-stage triggers but, for the money, there are better options. If you're willing to tolerate some creep at this price point and looking for ease of assembly, this still may be a good option for you.For me, this trigger is on its way back to Midway USA and I'll be picking up another Geissele. The SSA-E is only a few bucks more and there's really no comparison (I'll admit this isn't entirely a fair comparison since the SSA-E is a 2-stage while this CMC unit is single-stage, but the prices are within $20).

What an improvement

Installed 2 of these triggers in Remington R-15's. Made good rifles into great rifles. I can now consistently produce under MOA groups with both. One is a VTR in .223 and the other is a XHR in .30 RAR. Installation was as fast as you can remove the original trigger assembly, drop in the CMC and push in the new pins. No creep and 3 1/2# pull. If you are getting creep with your CMC trigger send it back and they will send you a new one.

I was very pleased with the ease of installation. I was even more pleased to find a no "creep", clean breaking trigger. Over-travel is a little more than I would prefer, but that's not a big deal.

Very easy to install and Very light. I measured between 3.7-4lbs. The only reason I didn't give this trigger a 5 star rating is that it no longer has the crisp break that the stock trigger had. Still a very good purchase for the price.

Bought this trigger and installed on dpms lower, and every aspect, including midway's part was and is flawless. Very rare indeed. No play anywhere. No creep, measured 3.5 lb, supplied pins and snap rings perfect, safety perfect as well. Use wilson combat gun grease on sear and slip 2000 on pins and other surfaces. 500 rds of fed. mill spec before this review.

This was a great addition to my DPMS LR-308. No problems with more than almost 500 rounds down range, a large portion of that being military surplus. Good primer strikes on all. Groups have tightened up and I rarely have a flyer unless being distracted by something other than the sweet crisp trigger pull. Only complaint is the pins. I think CMC could come up with an easier solution than those tiny, tiny C clips. I think the pins could also fit and look better too. Overall, for the price, it is a very effective unit.

Put this trigger assembly in my dpms lower this mornin, while havin coffee. I gotta say after I was done and concluded testing, I am extremely impressed. Nuff said.
