This trigger has an aluminum alloy housing with machined and hardened steel work surfaces which are all held to tolerances less than .0005". Trigger is adjustable from 1-1/2 to 4 lbs and offers a serrated 3/8" wide trigger for better control. Adjustable for creep and overtravel. The 511 trigger is unique by design in that the safety blocks the actual trigger instead of the sear, as a result the bolt can be operated with safety "ON".

Just received the Timney ...

Just received the Timney trigger group today and installed on a Remington 700 30-06. Three shot group size was reduced from 2" to 3" at 100 yds with factory trigger to less than 1.5" with the Timney trigger. Instructions and pictures were excellent. Only issue was that the Timney trigger weight adjustment screw protrudes approx 1/8" further forward than the factory adjustment screw. It was necessary to enlarge the forward portion of the factory trigger relief slot inside the stock to clear the Timney adjustment screw. Not 100% "drop in". However, not something that someone replacing a trigger should have a problem dealing with.Based on initial testing and results, definitely willing to purchase another one if/when the need arises.

A+ product, easily ...

A+ product, easily installed by a novice (with proper tools), trigger break is crisp with no creep. The pull was somewhat heavier than I would like, but was easily adjusted with the provided instructions & again THE PROPER TOOLS. I would recommend this product to all.

First install I've done myself, & was extremely happy with Timney's included instructions. Everything was straight forward & simple. Trigger breaks like a glass rod with no take up or creep, factory setting is a little stiffer than I liked, however, the included instructions allowed me to set the pull weight exactly where I needed it. Note to end users: You do need specific tooling to do this install.
