A magazine grip extension replaces the magazine base plate increasing the total length of the magazine. Increasing the total length of the magazine provides for extra grip length which in turn stimulates superior control and comfort.

Ordered 3 and installed ...

Ordered 3 and installed them tonight on 3 XD45 compact mags. One mag is brand new and never loaded. I could fit 11 rounds in the two older mags where the 11th round took quite an effort to load. No way in hell I could insert the 12th round as claimed in the description. The brand new mag (which arrived in the same order as the grip extensions) could accept only 10 rounds. I removed the Pearce extensions from all three mags, and replaced them with the factory ones. This product simply does not work as advertised! Very disappointed.

These are really handy ...

These are really handy for the XD Compact. Pearce makes another grip extension but, these add 2 rounds to your 10 round mags. What I really like is that you can carry just about the same amount of rounds (one less) than your total capacity with a full standard 13 rounder. Plus, these particular extensions are still shorter, smaller, and easier to conceal than the full 13 rounders for concealed carry.

Better grip than original base for magazine, though I only was able to add one round per magazine. I will likely buy more for the rest of my magazines.
