I have been using ...

I have been using "Mag-Lite" for many years. The 3 D cell flashlight did not let me down either in quality or useablity. One can put these thing through the mill and they work. I've got one in every room in the house. We live in deep south were power is often loss due to storms etc for an extended period of time we relay on them to work in doors as well as out.

If you want 100% ...

If you want 100% reliability in a slightly smaller format this is it. No shaking it or banging on it to to get the light to work. I couldn't tell you lumens or candlepower but it is plenty bright enough with fresh batteries. And it works first time, every time.
