Bought this for 9mm and ...

Bought this for 9mm and 40 S&W, along with the three hole die carrier for each caliber. Also got an extra lee powder measure for each. Once everything is set up, changing calibers is fairly easy. Everyone complains about the primer feed system and I concur that it can be a difficult. However, I find that if I polish the primer chute well (0000 steel wool & car polish), keep a little graphite in there, keep the tray full, and ensure that the press is indexed properly, it will load all day with little trouble.

I bought my Lee Pro 1000 ...

I bought my Lee Pro 1000 several years ago as my first progressive press; it works ok but not good! In short the Lee priming system is absolute junk! I have yet to be able to put in cases and have them go through the entire process without having to prime by hand separately. As for the individual shell plates they are the best part of the system! Once you get the timing set if you want to change calibers you simply loosen 1 screw and change the entire plate, when you want to come back to that caliber you put your Shell Plate back in, put the correct Die Plate/Dies back in the top and you are ready to go again. Personally I am here because I am looking to upgrade to the Hornady LNL press.

It worked pretty good for 2 days.After that shell plate carier cracked when i try to tighten the screw.
