The E-VolV Battlestock cheek rest is an add-on for the standard AR-15 m4 style collapsible buttstock. The rest improves your cheek weld over the M4 stock, and also adds water-tight storage compartments. The storage compartments are designed to hold cr-123 batteries and separate them to avoid discharge and noise. The stock adaptor also features a quick-detach swivel attachment point. High strength polymer construction.

I just put this on my ...

I just put this on my Bushmaster AR and ran around 250 rounds through it. Very comfortable and worked as advertised. It did fight me a little on the installation. One of the embedded nuts on the stock mount kept falling out, but a dab of super glue fixed that. Overall very nice

What it is: a part that ...

What it is: a part that attaches to a standard M-4 stock turning it into more of a SOPMOD type of stock. It's a great addition for folks who like the cheek/stock weld of the SOPMOD type of stock or the stock that comes standard on any Rock River "Operator" model AR, it's a great addition at a great price. Mine is installed on a Stag Arms M4 with a MilSpec 6 position stock and fits perfectly. When you would need that many CR-123's in storage is beyond me as most red dot optics will run for YEARS on just one (I keep my back up in the pistol grip). If I had designed it, I would have opted to fill that storage space with more plastic to give it more rigidity for the odd butt-stroking that might have to be administered. Short of any butt stroking frenzy you might encounter, this cheek rest ought to hold up fine with a bit of lock-tite to keep it firmly in place using the provided hardware. Overall, a cost-effective alternative to buying a $200 or more stock just to solve a simple cheek/stock weld issue. I recommend this.
