Solid and well made. They ...

Solid and well made. They fit perfectly on my Colt M4. Definately recommend using a Front Handguard removal tool as these were a tight fit (once installed they are solid with zero movement). Rail system works great...red dot mounted on top of handguard not only maintains zero, but returns to zero when removed and reinstalled (within 2 MOA @ 100 yards). Rails have worked with everything I've attached to them; lights, vertical grip, Eotech, Aimpoint. I Highly recommend the First Samco M-44S!

These handguards fit snugly... until you take your AR to the range. I have a Bushmaster patrolman's carbine with an ACE SOCOM stock (5 stars, awesome, VERY solid), Ergo Sure Grip, Bushmaster ambi safety, and a cheapo forend grip I've attached to these handguards. After running <100 rounds through my carbine (leisurely shooting 5 to 10 shot groups) a gap began to appear along the seam where the two handguard halves meet. I figured the gap would close up when my AR cooled sufficiently. That is not the case. The gap is permanent. If I grab my AR by my vertical forend grip and give it a little shake the handguards rattle; so much for a firm support. Mounting any optics on these handguards is out of the question! In hindsight I should have either free-floated my barrel in picatinny handguards, or maybe shelled out the extra $50 for aluminum ones. After I had bought these handguards I found out the same separation happened to a friend of mine who also has a BM patrolman's carbine. He wedged a piece of plastic in between the handguard halves and that cut down on the movement, but a wedge can get knocked out.

Mounted on a Bushmaster ...

Mounted on a Bushmaster Carbon 15. Slid into place without difficulty. my only concerns are the small amount of vent holes, no biggie though, and the way the two halves are split. its a diagonal split instead of a top/bottom, left/right split. After about 120 rounds were fired through the gun with a front foregrip and bipod mounted on it, the two halves started to split away from each other about 1/10".

Purchased these over ...

Purchased these over aluminum strictly to keep weight down (lugging an M4 around for an hour or two on a perimeter or searching yards can make an AR feel like a ton of bricks). So far I'm extremely happy with the rails they are as tight as can be and holds my vertical grip firmly at very minimal extra weight to my rifle. If anything changes I'll re-post but so far 2 THUMBS UP !!

I was looking for a good handguard for my AR, I believe I found it in this item. The handguard is sturdy, it doesn't add any additional weight, fits tight on my rifle, and is easy to install. I'm happy with my purchase.

I think this is an ...

I think this is an excellent item for the money. This was mounted on a Bushmaster Carbine AR15 and works quite well. There is extremely little to no movement and it is styled nicely. My only disappointment was that there aren't vents on the side and build material isn't steel. It's synthetic with a metal heat shield. The manufacturer also offers a lifetime warranty.

Put a set on for one of ...

Put a set on for one of our new SWAT officers, he mounted a grip on the bottom and after a few hours of training broke off the grip with a section of the rail. Intend on hard use, GET the aluminum or alloy rails period.

Very poor fit on my Stag ...

Very poor fit on my Stag lefty. The two halves do not mate at all on the forward end, lots of separation. Initial fit was tight, but once installed, fit was sloppy. Would not recommend for optics

I installed these on an ...

I installed these on an M4 and they fit tight to start with, but over time, you can tell when you're pushing on the front grip that the halves try to separate. Instead of a top and bottom piece, they're more of a top/left and bottom/right piece, and are squared instead of round. They're OK, but if they had screws keeping them together in the seams, would've gotten 5 stars.
