Installed on a keystone ...

Installed on a keystone stock. Easy to install. The hardest part of installation was getting the stock barrel out of the reciever,and that wasn't to bad.Sighted in at 50 yards and shot the middle x out of the target with federal 22lr plinking ammo. Put around 400 rounds thru it and No ftf's or fte's. Very happy with this barrel

I was hesitant to buy this barrel because of the old rule, you get what you pay for and there are many more expensive barrels. This is the one exception of the rule. This barrel looks great, shoots even better. My best 100 yard group so far is 10 shots for 1.41''. Thats about as good as your could ask for in .22 LR. i have put 2500 or so rounds through this barrel and it hasnt let me down yet, when i do my part of the shooting process. Every now and then there is a misfire, and you have to drop the mag and recock, shoots fine after that. counted last time i shot and was 4/350 rounds were misfires. I use CCI 40 gr Mini mags, but i havent tried any other and i hear these barrels are ammo-specific. Its on my to do list. This barrel is heavy. definately for target shooting. if youre in good shape you could squirrel hunt aiming up in the trees. This barrel with a hogue stock transformed my 10/22 for sure. 5 Stars!

I built a 10/22 up and this barrel was just great on my Boyd stock, Hornet trigger! LOOKS AND SHOOTS GREAT! CCI Stingers 1 hole at 25-50 yards! size of a dime!

I bought this barrel bout' a year ago, it works good! Shot group of 3 and 2 of them in the same hole at 33 yards! I ordered a scope 3 days ago and they said Friday it will arive. 3 days b4 they said! But the barrel is a good one the bluing and, rifeling is perfect!....I have a Tasco 2,5x10!

Outside of the barrel ...

Outside of the barrel looked great. Looked down the barrel and most of the length was smooth and shiny except for both ends. The end sections had rough streaks (chatter marks?). Called midway and was told these imperfections were normal. Did not seem to hinder accuracy. Installation has simple... no mallet required. The following groups are 10 shots at 100 yards being careful to shoot at low wind: SK - 0.9 inches ( 4 shots clover leafed), CCI mini mag- 1.3 inches (not one bullet touched another), Wolf- 2 inches (this ammo uses axle grease coated bullets), Walmart winchester 555 brick - 1.5 inches. Four stars only because of imperfections in barrel. Overall very satisfied with ease of installation and accuracy.

I've bought & tried almost everything 10/22, this barrel is the best thing to happen to my Ruger. The accuracy & overall finish of this barrel is amazing. This barrel in combantion with a bi-pod or sand bag and these jackrabbits out here in Calif dont have a chance. It's almost unfair......Great product

Bought this barrel to upgrade my 10/22 squirrel slayer that I've had for 30+ years along with a Hogue stock and a Simmons 22 Mag rimfire 3x9 scope. Both barrel and stock were on sale, what a great deal/combo. I got the scope from a local gun shop, then saw Midway had a better deal - $#*@! Installation for the barrel, and fit to the stock was flawless and took only minutes without hassle or special tools. A quick trip to the range for a 50yd dope and barrel break in using bulk ammo produced nickel sized groups (kneeling supported stance), then I put in some quality target ammo and group size shrunk to a dime and less. The scope is great, love it, durable enough for my use, clear. I am sure of better results when I fully bench rest shoot. As it is, I am extremely pleased with it's new performance, and I will continue to thin the squirrel population. I might finish the refurb out with a buffer, and trigger parts/group, but I'm in no rush and it's not a show stopper. This will be a great pass down rifle for my my kids, and the wife loves to shoot it!

Got a chance to take the 10/22 with this barrel and the Fajen stock to the range today. Much improved over the stock barrel. Shot nice tight groups at 50 yards. Very consistent.

I installed this barrel a couple of weeks ago, along with a bsa 4-16X scope. Installation was much easier than I had anticipated after reading that many had trouble with a very tight fit. Made 2nd trip to the range today and after roughly 200 rds I was shooting 1-1/2" groups at 50 yards from a rest. The best group fired so far at 50 yds could be covered by the head of a thumb tack, and this was done with winchester 555 bulk ammo. Can't wait to get some truly match grade ammo to see what improvements that will make. I have to say this barrel was money well spent, esp for the price.
