This is an excellent ...

This is an excellent purchase for someone starting, or replacing equipment. I am very happy with this press. I have five turrets for five different rounds to load. All spaced correctly, an easy change for each round. The T Mag 2 press is like my old Spartan press, in that T Mag 2 is still like the a "C". Now, I dont have reset each die and check. Just change the turret.

I just purchased an RCBS ...

I just purchased an RCBS press. Well it broke after 60 rounds. So I looked around for a different brand because the RCBS was garbage. This press is amazing. and for the price is even better. my RCBS didnt even come with a case trimmer and I paid the same price. This Lyman press is great. Even the primer reloading tool is decent. A+ for this press compared to other brands

I have recently purchased a Lyman T-mag II and am very pleased with it. All of the moving parts feel solid and smooth. The turret head allows me to have 2 complete die sets mounted at one time so I don't have to continualy change heads when changing betwean the two calibers I reload.

The best value for sturdy ...

The best value for sturdy long lasting equipment. Good price and certainly stronger than Lee. I use this for reloading my 243 and .223 cases and some 45acp and 9mm pistol rounds.The press is designed well for heavy sizing operations. The powder measure is consistent and accurate. Just try to use narrow but deep cavities at all times as much as possible. Trimmer is one of the best. Easy to set-up, strong and trims accurately. No need to buy different shell holders as the universal chuck handles up to 45 caliber. The only downside on this kit is the scale. It takes a long time to settle so I bought the Lyman digital scale. This kit is a good deal and better built than the equivalent Lee kit.

My father has owned the ...

My father has owned the original T-Mag press for over close to 40 years and I have owned the T-mag 2 for close to 20 years and both are still going strong. One of the best presses on the market. Kit comes with everything but the dies to get started. manual takes you step by step through process.Would recommend this press to anyone.

I am just getting into reloading and this kit has everything the beginning reloader will need. Good, easy-to-understand manual takes the mystery out of it. All the equipment is of high quality. I would recommend it to anyone.

After a 30 year hiatus, I ...

After a 30 year hiatus, I decided to start reloading again. Thirty years ago I used a Lyman Spartan T single stage C frame press and a Lyman powder drop, and was never disappointed. So, naturally, 30 years later I gravitated to this. The press is basically the same as the old single stage C frame press except with more stations; and to my recollection, the powder drop is the same. The lube pad and lube, case deburring tool, it's all the same. My major disappointment with the entire kit was the scale, since the base (and the beam too, I think) is made of light weight plastic. It seems to zero and weigh correctly; but it is flimsy on the reloading bench. So, I ordered a Hornady scale with an aluminmum base; which means I now have two scales.The auto prime tube is exactly the same as 30 years ago. But it sometimes dropped two or three primers at once, the extras falling into the spent primer reservoir; something I don't remember, but perhaps I need to adjust it better.Using a set of Lee dies, I managed to load up 60 rounds of 500 S&W Magnum, which fired pretty accurately, except for 5 rounds which I ruined due to not belling the cases enough, and one with a contaminated primer (probably one I retrieved from the spent primer well when the auto tube ejected too many). Six ruined rounds out of 60 (10%) isn't too bad for the first time in 30 years.All in all, this is a good value when on sale; but I would not want to buy it at regular price (since you too might want to replace the scale). Nevertheless, it is as I remember - a user friendly, heavy duty, reliable piece of equipment.

I bought this kit when I ...

I bought this kit when I got into reloading. Did my research and settled on this as my best option. I have not been disappointed. The press has worked flawlessly, is sturdy and looks as if it will last a lifetime. I love the ability to have my dies for a couple of calibers, decapping die, and a Hornady bullet puller all on the turret at the same time. I have in time upgraded the scale with a 1500 ChargeMaster and I have changed to a Forster bench mounted chamfering tool. All in all have been extremely pleased with the unit. As some reviewers have stated the scale is kind of wimpy. Buy and you won't be dissatisfied

I have a 20 year old ...

I have a 20 year old earlier version of this product. There have been improvements; i'm a softpaw & the reversable press handle is appealing, along with the turrent handle. The items included are identical to mine and I haven't had any problems with any item. I'd like a new press, but why throw away money. All of my equipment is in excellent condition. Lyman products, if maintained properly, will last for a lifetime.

The ultimate press in my opinion. I'm working toward a different head for each caliber. Head space 'em once, and forget 'em. Switch heads and move on to your next caliber.The expert set really does come with all the equipment you need. Just add dies and you're all set.
