Hornady has taken their match bullet engineering to the next level. All of their match bullets now feature their AMP (Advanced Manufacturing Process) bullet Jackets. What are AMP bullet jackets? AMP jackets are a technological advancement in design, tooling and manufacturing that when all put together produce the most consistently concentric bullet jackets available. These new jackets have virtually zero tolerance for concentricity and near zero wall thickness variation. When you combine this technology with a precision swaged lead core and the tightest standards in the industry you get a match bullet that will flat out shoot! This is not loaded ammunition.

My 200 yard off-hand ...

My 200 yard off-hand rifle is little more than a Ruger M77 MKII in .223 Rem. with a 26" heavy barrel, a 1:12 twist, all resting in a Revolution laminated thumb-hole stock. The gun had issues with the handloads I first tried. Eventually I discover a recipe that worked exceptionally well; this bullet, over 23.0 gr of Hodgdon 322, in Winchster Brass, with CCI 400 primers.

Received 4 boxes, 2 were ...

Received 4 boxes, 2 were labeled with the trademark A-MAX and picture with a ploymer tip. Other 2 boxes were trademarked Match with a picture of a BTHP. Nomenclature and product number on all 4 read #2249 BTHP, which is what I ordered and was in the box. I checked a box of A-MAXs I already had and their product number is 22492. Called Hornady and "Doug" said he was unaware of a problem and that the pictures were just a general representation. Told him the pics and Trademarks were very different and obvious. He stuck with his story "it doesn't matter". So anyway I got what I wanted/ordered. I just would have thought Hornady would have known and acted like they cared.

This bullet has proven itself to me over and over. I have consistently achieved between .5" and 1" moa 5 shot groups out of a RRA Predator Pursuit (20" barrel - 1 in 8 twist) with this bullet using Varget and Lake City brass. Most groups are closer to .5" but some days that have more wind it is closer to 1" at 100 yards. This is my go to bullet!

A good friend in Colorado ...

A good friend in Colorado (A.M.) put me on to this bullet Years ago. It has never failed me. I run this bullet through a 22-250 rem 700. 3/4" groups @ 100 yards all day long. I load between 3100 - 3300 fps. The bullet maintains stability and results at distance to 300 yards are very good. Prairie dogs, jack rabbits, coyotes, fox, and other such varmits would all support my statements. However, these witness' are no longer available for comment. Wish they were not back ordered!

Found an old box of 22-250 reloads with these bullets and H380. I got 1/3" groups and have stuck with it ever since. Expands well. Getting ready to try it in my 223's

This bullet shoots 1/2 inch groups all day with Accurate 2015 powder. This is the most accurate bullet for a 1 in 12 twist AR I have found.

When Hornady said Accurate, Deadly, and dependable they meant it with this great bullet. It will shoot hole in hole on a target. It's a killer bullet, literately. I've shot coyotes and deer with this bullet and blew holes in them the size of a small dinner plate. They're accurate, explosive and kill every thing you shoot with it.

I have been using this bullet for the last 20 years. I love its accuracy. I have shot hundreds of coyotes from 25 yards to 620 yards with deadly results. I can literally count on one hand the number of coyotes I have shot with this bullet that have got away. Happy hunting!
